Never forgotten!!

September 24, 2018

It would have been your 52nd birthday today, but you are no longer here with us.

We miss you so much, and cherish the time we spent together as friends.

Continue to rest in peace.

God knows best!

It is with such a heavy heart that I write about my friend. I still struggle to believe that she is gone despite seeing her body before departure back to the Uk.

Felicity and I met in 2000 during her Sure-Stat years at a practice in Tilbury and we hit it off straightaway.
In true Felicity style, we soon became quite close attending many functions and parties together. A Christmas never goes by without Felicity dropping by, even leaving presents at our doorstep when we spend Xmas away!

Her love of life , people and generosity of spirit are some of the qualities that endeared her to most.

As fate would have it, we relocated to Nigeria about the same time. She would often call up to check on me, visit me at home and at work to ensure that I had a social life!

Felicity approached everything she did wholeheartedly and I know she has left a huge gap in the lives of many.
i know you have found peace and heaven has got another angel.

Adieu my friend.

"I have lost a great friend, heaven has gained one"

Felicity, Your life was a blessing, you touched so many lives, I cherish the memories you share with my family.

It is painful saying goodbye to you. Your footprint and legacy will live forever.

You will be sadly missed but not forgotten. Gone too soon!!

  - Adieu my friend.

Felicity was the most kind-hearted, compassionate, and brilliant woman. She was so emotionally intelligent that she could always be relied on to say the right thing at the right time, and she was always keeping a maternal eye on those around her to ensure we were supported during times of pressure.

We were at a very intense conference abroad when my shoes, quite literally, fell apart from all the hard wearing. In a panic, I ran to the closest shoe store and bought the only suitable pair - but because I hadn't broken them in, they were very hard and painful!

Felicity saw me wincing and immediately took off her own shoes, offering to wear mine for the day so that I could be comfortable in hers during a particularly important meeting later in the day. She wouldn't take 'no' for an answer (she always was firm when she'd made her mind up!) and I spent the whole day floating on a cloud. At the end of the day, we swapped back, and she swore the shoes weren't painful to break in at all... I'm more dubious, but every time that story came up, she would modestly insist they were fine, and that her generosity was no big deal.

She was a hilarious, considerate woman who always had a brilliant quip on hand. It was a privilege to work alongside her, and an even greater honour to call her my friend.
