Today is the 1st anniversary of my brother in law Felix Ifeanyi Okeani. My brother Ifeanyi, we'll always remember that special smile, that caring heart, that warm embrace you always gave us. Nobody will ever replace you in our hearts. Omesili, You have gone the way of all mortals. We are consoled by the fact of your life which sought to cultivate virtues and embrace enduring values.
We are grateful for the opportunity of having crossed your path, of experiences shared and dreams fulfilled. We shall remember and cherish these moments. There was no dull moment with you, a born comedian, who could effortlessly have many in stitches with easy jokes. We wish you strength as you journey on into the finer realms of Creation. May recognition come your way and may you awaken to joyful activity. Our loving prayers are with you. We miss you so much!
Continue to rest in peace Omesili. Please pray for Okeani and Okoronkwo's family today.

When I looked out over the patio tonight I noticed a single star,
With fog so dense you couldn't see the moon, I knew it could only be you.

I stared at you for a while hoping for a reason,
Then realized at that very moment that you weren't gone at all,
In fact you are and always will be alive in our hearts and memories,
Your love is strong Ifeanyi,
So strong in fact that it has burned a hole in the fog,
Just so that the light of you can keep us warm and protected at night.

Though night shall fade and day shall come,
I know that you will not have abandoned me,
For you are now my shadow that guides and protects my day,
I know now that I shall never walk alone again,
For you will always be there holding my hand.

One would not think to ever hurt me,
For they will see my Husband at my side,
And know that a man of great stature and power protects me.

I will sleep easy tonight,
Knowing that you are there beside me,
When I feel that extra bit of warmth and security at night,
I know it is but your arms wrapped around me.

I am Never Alone, And You Are Never Forgotten.
I miss you...........Your wife,
Anthonia Obiajulu Okeani.

Nwaokeani a year has rolled by since the rain from a cloudless sky drenched us. Our hearts bled and we shivered from shock. One year has gone by and times we wonder in disbelief only to realize the reality of your exit from this part. We missed your cheerful humor, deep and reflective thoughts and genuine friendship. We know you transited, you dropped a body but the soul sojourns on into wondrous experiencing of truth that transcends blind faith.

We prayed that your path be peaceful and smooth and we hope you found peace and light. We thank the good Lord for your life and the joys it brought and beseech Him to grant you the joy of the eternal crown.

We also thank Almighty Father for the mercies and love that surrounded those you left behind this past year especially your dear wife, children and your mother. Their burden was lightened by the Grace and ever watchful Love of the Creator which provided them tools of support. The Lord's unbounded and unconditional Love are pointers to those who missed out of this grace and blessing through arrogance and ignorant over-sized ego and shirked responsibility.
My dear friend and brother in law you will be forever missed and remembered. Stride on and Strive on, The Lord loves you.

Happy Father's Day Dad!

There will always be a special place in my life for my Dad...

He has taught me to reach for the stars and follow my dreams.

You held my hand when I was small.
You caught me when I fell. You're the
Hero of my childhood and my later years as well. And every time I think of you, my heart still fills with pride.

Though I'll always miss you Dad
I know you're by my side. In laughter
And in sorrow, in sunshine and through rain. I know you are watching over me until we meet again.
Love you Dad. Happy Father's Day!

They say there is a reason, they say that time will heal, but neither time nor reason, will change the way I feel.
For no-one knows the heartache, that lies behind our smiles. No-one knows how many times, we have broken down and cried. We want to tell you something so there won't be any doubt, you're so wonderful to think of, but so hard to be without.
Happy Father's Day to my lovely husband.

As Life is a trip to earth, Death is a destiny for all living souls, and a journey for all mankind. Death is an accomplishment of moving on to a better life with the Lord, and yet no soul is anxious to get there. The distance to the destination of death is the same for all, but the speed to get there differs for all. Some travel to the destination faster than others depending on one’s purpose on the earth.
It takes some people minutes upon their arrival on the earth to complete their journey of Death. For others, it may take hours, days, months or years to complete their journey to Death. It took Felix Ifeanyi Okeani Sixty good years to complete his destination to Death. His departure is an accomplishment to begin his new life in God’s kingdom.
In all things, we give Glory to the Creator of all things. He, who is the Creator of all things, is the God of all things. He, who is the God of all things, is also the Author of Life and Death. Mr. Felix Ifeanyi Okeani responded to his call as he has accomplished his purpose on earth.
In all things; let all families, friends and well wishers uphold their strengths of endurance to honor Mr. Okeani’s journey as he has lived a legend life on the earth. His soul shall rest in perfect peace.

When i got the news of your sudden demise, I was shocked with utter disbelief, so many questions ran through my mind. I realised that the world has lost a rare gem and a refined gentleman that instilled discipline, love and family values, words can't express how we feel at the moment because you always had a way of solving problems and making them seem like they never existed. May the Almighty Father grant you peace and grace as you journey to the beyond

Words fail one at a time like this especially when you think deep about this man Ifeanyi Okeani. He is my cousin's husband ( my in law), wondeful man, kind hearted, very understanding and peaceful. I had the privilege of meeting him in summer 2001. I have been thinking about what to write. What can anyone say that will bring back? We can not question God. We pray for the soul, we ask for fortitude to bear the loss, we ask the Lord to guide us the living that we walk in his ways; enjoying a good healthy long life and always keeping us in accord with Him.
We look forward to the resurrection and life everlasting.
We leave the rest to God but continue to pray for the Okeani and Okoronkwo families at this time. May he rest in perfect peace. Amen.

A TRIBUTE TO MY UNCLE IFEANYI OKEANI.

I hurt badly from the evil work of the grim reaper, who wickedly cut your life short at an age you should be sitting and relaxing with your family, brothers, sister's , nephew's, nieces and most importantly your old mother.
Death being so complete and irreversible brooks no appeal, so we leave all in God's hands. It is sad, so very sad.

Ifeanyi, even until this day it seems so surreal that you have left us. As people we believe that you have left us too soon, but who knows the mind of God. As encouragement its important for me and others to remember "To be absent from the body is to be Present with Christ" You are where we are striving to be which is with our maker. I pray that your presence and legacy goes on and is not forgotten. We miss you Ifeanyi Okeani!

"TRIBUTE TO MY WONDERFUL BROTHER IN-LAW BY Ngozi Okeani
I cannot not believe that the name I called IFEANYI THE IFEANYI with his response OJIAZU MY WIFE would be extinguished from the face of the earth. I cannot not articulate the words to describe my state of mind on hearing about your passing on to glory. Could I say devastated, confused, shocked, angered or all of the above?
All I reflected upon was the faithful December morning in the year 1989, when you appeared unannounced in my father house at Ogidi with lots of your younger brother’s pictures. Not realizing how humorous you were, I declined to look at those  pictures upon your verbalization that I would fall in love with him, by looking at his pictures. You were very proud of your brother and so were your pride for your children.
You epitomized the father that money cannot substitute. Each time you visited us in Atlanta, your children were always with you. You put your immediate family needs ( children and wife) before yours, as exemplified by simply making sure that they were well dressed before thinking of dressing up at every occasion in our house. You were a great mentor to your children. Your children should be proud of you.

I take consolation in the fact that that your life touched many people including my children. Your advice to them on their graduation “forward ever and backward never” will remain with them forever.
My prayer is that God almighty who allowed you to share your life with us and take you on his appointed time will comfort us in Jesus name Amen.
May your soul rest in peace.
From your sister in-law
Mrs. Ngozi Okeani.

So it is when a person dies the essence of that person is revealed. Death can take away from us what we have, but cannot rob us of who we are. I have always known you to be a gentleman and often the one with the last joke. I will miss your sense of humor and your ability to make the time spent cooking worthwhile. May God be with you as you have slipped into the next life.
Good bye Brother Ifeanyi.

My memories of ‘Bro Ifeanyi’, as we fondly call him, dates back to the early 2000’s during my first to Los Angeles from Nigeria. We had scheduled to do a 30mins visit to his family but this was not to be. He made sure that we not only stayed for dinner but that we ended up leaving his house with our ribs cracking with laughter after 3 hours.

He was a very peaceful man who was always there for his family and would go out of his way to make sure that everybody who visits his home or is related with his family by friendship or blood feels comfortable and accepted.

My heart goes out to his immediate and extended family during this period of grief. May they be comforted by the fact that “Bro Ifeanyi” lived a good life and is already in the bosom of the Almighty.

Adieu Bro ifeanyi,
Till we meet to part no more.

REST EASY BRO FELIX.....BY NKIRU NGOZI OKONGWU-EZIAKOR

Bro Felix, vivid memories of you date back to the 70's when I visited our cousin Oby Ekpechi in Aba. With you and Emeka around there was no dull moment. I always looked forward to spending my long vacation in Aba. I have met Emeka here in the US and was looking forward to meeting you too but alas it is not going to be in this life. As we miss you we take solace in the outstanding testimonies of your life as a supportive, compassionate, generous, selfless, inspiring and God-fearing brother, husband, father, uncle and in law. In compliance with the word of God in 2 Timothy 4:7-8, you have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith. Now, there is in store for you the crown of righteousness which The Lord the righteous judge will award to you.......rest in peace bro Felix as you await your crown of righteousness.

“IN MEMORY OF MY BIG BROS”.

The news of your sudden demise was shocking and traumatic. But based on our Christian belief, nothing happeneth without the knowledge of the Almighty. We take consolation, as mere mortals, in your being in a better place, where there’s neither SORROW, pain, stress, nor suffering.

We shall all meet in HIS vineyard, never to part again.

Your Cousin, Emeka Okongwu.
