To the most amazing DAD……
The most heartbreaking news I refused to accept….A day i never wanted to come by ,words cannot express how heavy it is to say farewell but the Heavenly Father needs you more..
You have given me the best gift a father could give to a daughter and that’s forever memorable. You did your best DAD ,you fought so well ,now you are in a place of peace and no pain.
We will surely miss you ,those days of frequent weekly visits.Your grandkids are growing and it’s good to know they have a strong memory of you which would last forever.
Your physical absence is gone but can never be forgotten .
Forever you will remain my guiding light ,until we meet again Daddy ….

Tribute to my very caring brother
Life is a journey and death is a finality. Infact life is a market where we come, buy and sell at the end of which we go back to our Almighty father to give account of our stewardship. Fide you are loved more than you know. Your open heart and open arms have made the years so happy. Your love and care have been the dearest that life could ever give. For all your love and caring , for your thoughtful kindness and advice, for all the help you have given without ever thinking twice, for being a special brother and really good friend too, I say BIG THANK YOU. I know you are in a very beautiful place God has reserved for you in his vineyard. You deserve to be very happy away from all the buhaha of this world of ours. My brother Fide was a man of strong character , a man who would not bow yet submissive, a man who would not bend yet capable of accommodating others , a man who would never compromise his beliefs for anything but yet flexible, a man with his own gender and calling. My brother Fide was a man of great style and appeal, yet for who "less was more" A man who viewed all the obstacles, hurt and challenges throughout his life as cumulative steps to greatness. A people's person who gave everything he had to make others happy, a friend, brother and father to many. As you leave us, we are left with future pleasures in past memories. You will be dearly missed but we will take consolation in the fact that you have run a good and worthy race. God will raise you up on the last day when we shall see and be happy all over again. For now Good night my amiable brother. Finally I like to remind us of the adage which goes thus " When we are born , we cry and the world rejoices, Let us live our lives in such a manner that when we die , we rejoice and the world cries. Fide my brother is sure rejoicing where he is because " HE IS FREE"

A TRIBUTE TO NNAMOCHIE, ENGINEER FIDELIS NWANGWU

"Fide Nwangwu", as a fondly called you as soon as I stepped into your compound and you would respond to my greetings with "Agi-a-ti-a",aka Agatha. I could hardly believe you took ill about one year after I joyfully visited you last in Port Harcourt. I spent two days with you and your family, we shared your meals together during which I observed some unfamiliar changes in your cuisine. Out of curiosity, I asked for the meaning of my observation, you answered with a chuckle that you were diagnosed with a Type 2 Diabetes. I was not too worried about the diagnosis since it could be controlled with the right medication and appropriate diet regimen. You looked trimmer than usual, not sickly, but you were not as vibrant as you used to be.
I had a great shock when I was informed that you were struck with a cardiovascular accident (Stroke) which rendered you speechless for a long time and I could no longer exchange pleasantries with you from that day to the day you gave up spirit, March 22nd 2024. Fide, you did not just remain beaten down by the stroke, you gave it a fight like a man like you had always been. You never succumbed to an unpleasant situation without a fight. You truly loved your family to a great extent, lying on your sick bed for about 4 years, groaning in pains, and praying to recover from the illness, for your sake, the sake of your beloved family, and for the sake of all those who had closely associated with you, including myself.
At a stage, I was informed that you had started improving, even talking, I was so happy with your progress that I was very enthusiastic to chat with you on the telephone. My enthusiasim, was however, dashed to the walls with the sad news of your demise on March 22nd, 2024.
Fide, you are gone forever but you are loved, cherished, appreciated, and remembered forever. Rest in the bosom of the Lord Who loves you best.

Uncle Fide for me was a man who was generous with his time and resources to help those at their point of need. I would never forget his active involvement in the logistics of ensuring that my dad had a smooth burial. For this I am greatly in his debt. I also remember the amiable and heartwarming personality he always exuded when he paid us periodic visits in Lagos. He knew how to light up the atmosphere, this I am going to truly miss. He battled his condition like a warrior and is a true testament of resilience in the face of adversity. His untimely departure has left a gaping hole in our hearts. May his spirited soul rest in peace.

It's so painful to know that an outstanding and deeply loved Uncle has left this world. I will always treasure the beautiful memories of the many fun times I spent with you whenever we visited Papa and mama during Christmas holidays. Your constant bubbly spirit and smiles, your generous christmas gifts, the jokes you readily shared, the love .....you have definitely left indelible footprints in the sands of time. Rest in peace, dear Uncle, till we meet to part no more.

My Dearest Uncle,I remember how you used to come down to lagos to visit us and you would always buy things for us. You also played a key role during my dad's burial by helping us do up the place. You were full of life and always lent a helping hand. We will miss you Uncle.Rest in Peace
