i remember frank would always take me to 7-11 before we picked up my mom and get the same thing he would get his food and a sports top gatorade and i would get a twist sugar coated donut and a sports top drink it had to have a sports top and my donut had to be a twist and frank always made sure i had one, one of the best memories i have of him.

Story 1:  One day mom had cooked up some mouth watering beef ribs.  When we all sat down, Frank started crying.  We asked why: “All we have to eat is bones, we are so poor!” 

Story 2:  One summer evening after a week or so of playing outdoors, Frank ‘s sunburn was beginning to peel, he had also lost a tooth the night before.  As we sat down to eat he grabbed his head and found some hair in his hand.  He began crying and proclaiming:  “I am falling apart, I am not going to make it.”

Story 3:  Frank had a sixth sense.  Although we lived directly across from his elementary school, he felt as if he would not be able to get in the house after school.  Sure enough, one day for a completely innocent reason, Mom was a few minutes late from running errands and Frank could not get in.  He was shaken up, but survived. 

Story 4:  Frank enjoyed his model railroading. We built a huge track layout the took over an entire bedroom.  He would spend hours building and running his trains.

Story 5:  Frank enjoyed watching Chip and Dale,a Disney cartoon show.  When we went to Disneyland we came across actors dressed up in chip and dale costumes; Frank was so excited he starting kicking one of them.

Story 6:  Frank loved playing roller hockey. He was a pretty good defensemen.  I will never forgot watching him skate side by side against someone on a breakaway.  He kept on hacking away at  the puck, to the point where the player just gave up.  This was Frank, do whatever to win.

Story 7:  Frank enjoyed the outdoors.  We would take an indirect route to school through Cherry Creek State Park.  He would always notice which groups of deers would move to different locations. This was Frank, always an eye for the details.

Story 8:  How can we forget Frank’s first auto repair; the thermostat housing on the 85 Celebrity.  There was so much loctite, they are probably still chipping it off.

Story 9:  Frank was a great driver.  I only drove with him once before he tested.  I just thought he was a quick learner, until I saw him driving one of my cars one day.  No harm, no foul....got to learn somehow....another quality of Frank, self learner. 

Story 10:  Frank was fortunate to find the only surviving insect in cold weather: such as the cold November day at a Balloon Festival in Fort Collins.  As he walked across the field, a bumble bee bite him on the forehead.

Story 11:  Frank’s love of trains was experienced by the entire family when we all took a train trip from Denver to Anaheim to visit Disneyland. We slept in a five person sleeping car and eat meals in the dining car.  Grandpa Al and Grandma Jessie joined us.  We witnessed some great scenery and had a great time.

Story 12:  Another great trip was when the family visited Yellowstone. Frank loved the Buffalo, the moose a little (I think Dad liked them more), and all the deer roaming wherever they wanted.

Story 13 :  One of the sweetest moments was when Mom and Dad took baby Frank to visit his Aunt Theresa in New Jersey.  Frank’s cousin, Monique, only a few years old was convinced we brought a baby for her.  The photo gallery has a picture or two of Monique holding baby Francis.

Story 14:  Before we moved to Las Vegas, Frank looked so forward to family vacations in Vegas; staying in Luxor, New York New York, Circus Circus, and MGM were among his favorites.

Story 15:  Another of Frank’s favorites was Glenwood Springs, the block long hot spring pool.  Of course, who could complain.  Often times we would hike up and visit Dr. Holiday’s  grave site.  In the photo gallery there is a photo of us all with the Rafael’s.

Story 16:  Some of our best times were we would would camp in ourtent trailer.  Frank loved the outdoors. We traveled to the beach of the Central California coast to Las Vegas; but his, and our, favorite was camping in Curt Gowdy Park in Wyoming.    All those stars......
