His Life

Fredrick "Fred" Wenson, Jr., age 80, of Brockton, died February 26, 2021 at the Boston Medical Center.  He was the loving husband of Barbara (Lindsay) Wenson. 
Fred was born in Queens, New York a son of the late Fredrick and Elizabeth (Javosky) Wenson. He lived in Brockton for over thirty-two years, previously living in Lakeville.
In 2003, Fred retired from ZEP industrial and commercial cleaning products after 37 years as a branch manager and sales representative.  He was a very involved member of Pearl Street Methodist Church where he was a trustee and treasurer for many years, taught Sunday school, and acted as a sexton for the maintenance and upkeep of the church.  He and his family were also very active in helping with organizing fundraisers, church fairs, cooking meals, and overseeing preparations and setups for all holidays and special events. In his free time, Fred enjoyed garden work, reading, cooking, and keeping busy. He wasn’t one to sit around.
Fred is survived by his sons Joseph Wenson and his wife Kerri of Andover and Major Douglas Wenson and his wife Mehgan of Westport, MA, and a stepson Douglas Jenkinson of Brockton.  He was the brother of Anna Rogers of Rustburg, VA; Alan Wenson of Bridgewater; Elizabeth Jara of Davis, Ca; Guy Wenson of California and the late Carol Rue.  He also leaves five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Fred will be remembered as a caring and gentle soul who was always ready to help anyone in need. He loved spending time with his family and was very proud of how he raised his children.
In addition to his wife Barbara, Fred is survived by his sons Joseph Wenson and his wife Kerri of Andover and Douglas Wenson (Major Westport PD), and his wife Mehgan of Westport, MA, and a stepson Douglas Jenkinson of Brockton. He was the brother of Anna Rogers and her husband Edward of Rustburg, VA; Alan Wenson and his wife Estelle of Bridgewater; Elizabeth Jara and her husband Manuel of Davis, CA; Guy Wenson of California and the late Carol Rue and her husband Alan. He also leaves five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
