Her Life
September 7, 2016

Debbie met someone and moved to Israel taking Gena with her.  ( I did not like that, none of the family did).  Almost ten years later I got a call from Debbie that I can send money to get Gena back and fast as I could, a day or so later, I bought a plane ticket and damn if they didn't send her back.  I was living in Texas at the time with a crazy woman.  Her and Gena did not get along with Gena being strong minded...duh.  She met friends there at the renaissance fair ( yes friends and lovers, yes you Donnie )!  It was a good time then and she was happy.
After that she moved on to see what kind of trouble she could get into and what new people she could meet.  That was when she met Chris and had a wonderful baby girl she named Marley, the light of her life until the day she passed.  Then she moved to arizona where she met and married Mike and they had a beautiful baby boy named Dylan.  Life went on as planned but things changed.  Let's stop for a minute and talk about Gena.  Strong willed..duh.  Hellion...duh.  Hard to live with ...duh.  Doesn't take and shit...duh.  Let's face it she was tough as nails.  Mike took as much as he could and moved on with Dylan.  I'm sure that's a hard thing that she had to live with for the rest of her years.  No one could tell Gena what to do still a hellion.
Later on Gena had an accident and the asshole doctors prescribed opiates and anyone that knows her knows that was the downhill part of her life.  I am not going to get into the bad decisions she made after that but we all still loved her still as she fought with her regrets.
But she is at rest now.  I would like to say with all my heart that I knew for a fact that she dearly loved both Marley and Dylan with all of her heart.
  My heart is broken.         Dad.

The story of Gena

September 6, 2016

It's hard to put my daughters life into words without help from her friends but I will try.
Born in a small barn made into a house back in the 70's on Summerhill Ranch in Topanga California.  It was nicer than it sounds.  It was myself and Debbie Mayotte , a beautiful woman and mother . We had a midwife but I delivered my beautiful daughter Gena Blue Mayotte as the midwife was sleeping.  She stayed up as long as she could then told me "you know what to do I am going to bed".   I was scared shitless but the birth went just like she said.  Debbie did all the work I just caught Gena on her way into the world.  She was loved from the moment she arrived.
We lived on kind of a hippie type ranch at the time with a lot of nice folks around to hold and love her.  We had some hard times back then I was not the greatest provider.  Next after Somerhill Ranch came a trailer "no not a trailer park" Just a old two bedroom trailer my grandpa helped us get that I pulled on to the Paramount Studio Ranch in Agora where the calif Renaissance was for work.  Debbie was a trooper and stayed most of the time with me, And when fair was over I found work right there a Paramoun Ranch from Mr Dee Cooper the care taker of the ranch and old western town for fiming movies. My job for free rent  ,elec and water to take care of all the horses about 12 of them thats where I think Gena started to love horses. I moved the trailer to right behind the old west town and now with power and water Debbie was a trooper again and lived with me there.  Gena was about three or so at that time and she was even in some shots in a movie playing with some chickens in the old west town, Not sure if the shots made it in the final cuts but always hoped they did.  I got another job for other things we needed I worked for Bob Dylan at his house in Malibu for two years night security 6PM till 6AM then drove home to Agora to clean the stalls I had to use the small dump truck that I drove down the middle of the barn to fill it then drive out and dump it. Yes Gena's story is mine and Debbies as well.  Down the road a bit things got rocky again lost my job a Dylans I got cought useing the pool with some good friends BIG NO NO. Young and dum Sorry Debbie. Well  Debbie was done putting up with me around this time. I had a hard time seeing Gena but thatks to Amy she would call me when she had Gena so I could see her. Thank you Scotty and Amy with all my hart for that.  (We all miss you Scotty rest in peace as well)
