Howard was truly one of the finest men I have ever known. He had a beautiful and blessed singing voice that was such an inspiration. Always kind and had such a humble nature. He was truly a pleasure to know. Heaven has received a precious soul in Howard and we have lost a treasure.

Howard was an inspiration to all who were privileged to know him. His unique knowledge of Arcadia and DeSoto County and his writings will live on as his legacy.

Mr Melton was truly a Godly man and will be missed. We are losing them rapidly.
