Living Life Large , nothing gave him greater pleasure then spending time with his grandbabies, they were the light of his life. He loved and was so Proud of his Children beyond Believe He very much enjoyed Hunting, fishing ,traveling .and playing Santa (Ironic he passed xmas eve)spending time with family and friends of which we didn't have many but enough to make his life complete. He loved our little Azalia United Methodist Church ,which made it possible to have a Beautiful memorial service ,and even though our little Autistic grandson Gaven said and refused to share at his Pepaws memorial the provand Statement was amazing " A Memorial is a Celebration of my Pepaws Life" and he wasn't wronge. The memorial couldn't have been more perfect ,My grandson Dominic assisted with sharing the song of our life " Time in a Bottle" by Jim Croce . And our lovelyng lady Helen started out with Geralds favorite song "His eye is on the Sparrow and you know he's watching you" A packed church ,standing room only and those who got up on the podium to share their thoughts and feelings about my Gerald was awesome. and. with people still coming in after completion of service was a testament to what an amazing man I was fortunate enough to share my life with. The bonFire our son suggested and the toast , with Geralds whisky of choice -when he was well enough to drink- Black Velvet to Geralds childhood friend since they were 6yrs old Doug saying one last time " Hey Jerry hows it going ?" Salute! Our son and or wonderful cousin Kevin put on Waders went out back to spread my loves ashes under his hunting tree stand. When Jas got back he said " Mom, dad busted my ass right up to the very end! We had to bust through ice to get back there , but we wouldn't have had it any other way.. A fitting tribute to an incredible man"Oh how I Miss You My Love
