Gertrud was born October 19 1932 in Germany.  She came to the United States in 1965 and settled in Lorain in 1975 with her husband of 53 years Lester.  Gertrud worked as a Teachers Aide for Lorain City Schools for 30 years, retiring in 2012. Gertrud enjoyed knitting, reading, word search puzzles and collecting figurines.
