Dear Gil!! Love you and miss you and your family!! Would love to be out tonite celebrating your birthday! You're with God now and all your family who love you! I guess you can't beat that for a great birthday!
Thinking a lot of Helen this morning and how leukemia took her away from us too soon. 5 years old, crazy. the Cure of Leukemia was supposed to be here by the year 2000!! Children and adults are still dying from it. Maddening.
Love you!! Your Cousin Rickie

Two years since your passing dear cousin! I can't believe your whole family is gone! Your parents, sisters Helen and Merry, brother John. Even one of your nephews gone. Garret Wilson. It's so sad. I'm trying to do some genealogy on the Wilson, Partipilo and Duebner family so that Reed has some idea where he came from. Praying for you! Miss you so much!

I miss him even though the years and miles separated us.  Choices and decisions I made in my life were taught to me by Gil. Knowing he is no longer an email away will be tough. I am a better person for knowing him.  I will see you again my friend...

A week and a day Dear Gil, I look at the red rose that Donna so nicely gifted me with and smell it's sweet smell. It is opening up nicely and slowly so that I can savor it for a while yet. I think mostly now of Donna and Reed for you are in a happier place my cousin. I prayed last night that you and the rest of the family were in heaven with God enjoying the goodness of eternal life. Now my prayers are for Donna and Reed that they may be comforted by their memories of you.

Donna & Reed...words can not express by sympathy for the loss of Gil...a loving husband, father, and friend. I remember the night we (Donna & I) met Gil for the first time and we became friends instantly. I vividly recall the big group cruise and Gil being the life of the party. We were all truly blessed to have known him and the world a better place for it. Rest in knowing that he is now at peace. Much Love to you both!

Hello, Donna and Reed,

As the Thanksgiving weekend ends, I wanted to share with you this thought. It was wonderful to share with you the special thoughts and memories during Gil's memorial service, both at the wake and at the church. I was very sad for his loss, but then I kept thinking how lucky we all are that he was part of our lives. We had the chance to share special times with him, he made us laugh, and that alone is reason enough to be happy and thankful that we knew him. His warm smile brought much joy to many, and I consider myself very, very lucky to have called him a friend. When these next few days, weeks, and months become challenging for you, just remember how lucky you both were to have had him as a husband and father. Not a lot of people out there are lucky enough to have a "Gil" in their lives...  I love you!!! XXOO  ~Janette Peterson~

We first met Gil when we moved to our neighborhood years ago. He went out of his way to welcome us and enjoyed our weekly chats. Our dog would cry hearing Gil and Misty approaching, and he never once passed our home without coming to our yard and greeting his awaiting friend. You will be missed, dear neighbor. This place will never be the same without your smiling face.

We used to hang out in high school. I will always remember him as a happy, fun and loving man. Although it has been many years since we last spoke, he will always remain a part of my life's history and growing up without him would have been different.
My condolences and heartfelt sorrow for his family and everyone who's life he touched. God bless you my friend, heaven just got an angel

I first met Gill in the mid-eighties, we initially had some common interest, but what I remember most was his great sense of humor. As the years past I moved out of Illinois, but we continued to stay in touch through emails. He would send me pics of Reed as he grew up. He was very proud of him, and it was communicated through those emails. This past spring he and Donna came to Florida for a visit. It was really nice to re-connect with him after all those years. I had always found him to be genuine, and honest. My condolences to both Donna, and Reed. He will be missed.

I met Gil when I first came into the Central Region training department. We were all on the 6th floor in Itasca. He would come and go because of traveling and so would I, but we always had great conversations. As time pushed on we moved to a larger facility and this one time Gil said I met someone and she is the one, Donna it was you! I was so happy he found someone to cherish and be cherished. Then came Reed, OMG, he really was over the moon. My sincere deepest thoughts and prayers are for you and your family.

I first met Gil in 1985 at FedEx and spent a good deal of time with him in Memphis as we were both being certified to teach our respective classes. Gil would make a friend at a restaurant (or a bar) within minutes with his warmth, generosity and friendliness. He was a good friend and helped me a great deal in those years and I'm glad that we were able to keep in touch via the Internet in later years.  I was blessed to know him and call him a friend.

Gil was a great guy. Many years ago I met Gil. Gil gave me a hat he had purchased in Europe. The hat was new. It was a grand gesture. That hat is gone now too, but it lasted for many years. I am fortunate to have have met Gil. My condolences to Gil's family and especially John Anderson and John's sister. I will be on an airplane on Tuesday morning headed for Arizona and will miss the memorial. God bless Gil!!!

Big Smile, and great sense of Humor. First time I met Gil was on the plane to Florida for a Cruise. He was wearing a paper toilet seat cover around his neck. Also he did the best tug boat horn imitation. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
