Gladys May was born in Liverpool, England and was the youngest of a large family. Her mother died when she was just 13 and was passed from one sibling to the next.


She met a merchant marine from the United States during WW2 and they married in England his name was George Phillip Saucier. They had a daughter in England named Lynda, Momma and Lynda took a ship to the United States during WW2. 
 
She lived in Mississippi but didn't like it there.Two years later momma had a set of twins Jerry and Gary and they all moved to Mobile, Alabama.
 Five years after my brothers we born she had me. When I was 5 momma changed my name from Gay to Gabriel after her best friend in England but she never told anyone.I only found out because I went to Europe and was told I signed my pass port wrong.
 
Momma made some very good friends in Mobile so she wasn't so alone when Daddy was gone on the ship. But they split up after 18 years.
 
 Many years later she married Donald Mathieson who she loved very much but he was much older then her and passed away four years into their marriage.  She lived alone untill Lynda talked her into a nurseing home where she lived a few years till her death.
