Gordon, the last serious conversation we had was in June and you were worried about your Legacy.  Yes Legacy.  It was as if you knew the time was near.
well my brother,  your legacy lives in your children.  Your legacy lives in us your family and friends.  There will never be a great story teller like you.  Your way of connecting with people will never be matched.  That made you very unique and special.
Rest in Peace, my brother and most importantly my friend.  The road ahead is long but ever fulfilling.  You finally found the window

1st Church membership.

"Mami, this year is a year of perfection and we have to meet and have a wonderful family gathering". This was Gordon's message on New Year's day 2020. 

Each message thereafter,  would always start "Mama, i want chop: baked beans, or puff and beans, or cerelac etc. followed by laughing emojis. Lol..my cravings were the treats everyone else would enjoy in the evenings. He always took me down memory lane of my happy childhood years.

Holidays where a lot of fun with him around. The older boys were with us..Uncle Joki's house and the girls at granny's. Story times in the evening was always intriguing.  He was the best at it. When it was his turn,  everyone was fully attentive. He played games with us, the younger crew more than the rest.

He coined the name Captain for Mr.Lucas who delegated house chores to all of us and yes, he had a name for his grand uncle..Uncle Joki too...lol...i bet my Dad knew that too. 

Oh Gordon! Your personality was so endearing to family and friends. Thanks for the messages which ensured my laughter. I will treasure the memories forever.

You will be forever missed Gordon. When I think of you, all I see is your lovely & heart warming smile. Nick & I are just very shocked & still in disbelief. It was always a joy to be in your company. Rest on ourdear brother until we meet again in eternity. Nick & Nina Mohammed.
