Happy birthday, Greg John. Surely do miss you! Hope your dog park friends have seen the bench we put at the bark park in memory of you and Jack and Sassy. I know you'd approve. You should have seen me try to bring it in and place it. It must have rained for a week before we came and the park was a boggy mess. When I got there, the only person there was and old lady with a young pit bulldog that belonged to her son. The dog wanted to play and jumped all over me and my white shirt. The woman couldn't control the dog so she didn't try. I had to go straight to TJMaxx and buy a new, clean shirt! You would have died laughing!!!

Thinking about my baby brother Greg John today. I’m thinking back to hearing stories from his best best buds telling me what a killer dancer he was. There would often be times when they’d all back off and just watch him. He and his partner would take over the dance floor! I had no idea he loved dancing! That’s just so cool. He got it honest though, our parents , Boots and Bob were known to “cut the rug” at the country club on occasion. Mama and dad danced at Arthur Miller’s dance studio in Chicago. She danced with us all the time when we were young. To be a fly in the wall and see my baby brother blowing it out on the dance floor would be a delight.

Miss you dear brother; Altar Boys, Camp Villa Marie, Russell Brothers, The Arcade, The Lamplighter Pub, The indestructible Ford "hoggette", Lake Blackshear, Twin Honda Accords, Valdosta, Athens, hanging out with R.E.M. and even when I went off-grid in NYC, you found me! I have never laughed so hard, so often, and shared so many incredible (often unbelievable) memories as I have with you. Thank you so-o-o-o very much. I am forever grateful. Rest in Peace!

My Dear Brother in Christ Greg:
I am so blessed to have met and swam with you in kattie's Pool.I remember when we first met, your family was going through the passing on of your brother. I grieved and prayed with you for the repose of his soul and had the Franciscan Friar's pray for Michael Joseph ,Greg and his family.A real friend is one who shares his life with you and knows when just to be quiet , listen ,laugh, and be present with you, in the good and bad times of our lives.I believe that it was not by chance of us meeting each other in Katty's pool because the Good Lord Works Through People, and we all need to see the Christ in Everyone we meet . As many of your friends have already said about Greg, he never met a stranger, and always had a story.
Greg, my Friend and Brother in Christ, I am SO HAPPY THAT YOU SHARED THE RENEWAL OF YOUR BAPTISM VOWS IN THE POOL WITH YOUR FRIENDS - SO WITH SAINT FRANCIS OF ASSISI'S BLESSING:
GREG , MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU, AMEN
MAY HIS FACE SHINE ON YOU, AND BE GRACIOUS TO YOU,AMEN
MAY HE LOOK UPON YOU WITH KINDNESS AND GIVE YOU HIS PEACE,
       AMEN.
MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU GREG,
+ THE FATHER, AND THE SON, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT.AMEN MY FRIEND!!!
PEACE AND ALL GOOD,
YOUR BROTHER IN CHRIST, SAINT FRANCIS AND SAINT CLARE,
RICH HERDEGEN, Ofs
WE WILL SEE OTHER AGAIN GREG!!!

I first met Greg about 9 or 10 years ago when Pendleton King dog park 1st opened. Over the years we sat and talked hundreds of times. I remember well how he loved his 2 dogs Sassy and Jack(deceased). The last time I saw Greg was last May or June at the dog park. In September I called him when I heard the he was on hospice. I was surprised that he was still living at his home and that he had been out driving that day. The last time I called him was on new years eve day. Although our conversation was short he sounded in good spirits. I will surely miss him and all the good conversations we had--rest in peace Greg.

I will miss my fellow "tinfoil hat wearing" conspiracy theorist, friend. We would talk for hours about things and I believe we taught each other quite a bit. Nothing was too far out there to talk about!
You have been a good friend and I am glad I inherited you when I married Bart......
He misses you so.
I hope you are enjoying the family that had gone on before. You had become so nostalgic there at the end.....
Take care, Greg. We'll have a lot to catch up on when we all meet back up. Keep the Angel's straight.

To All The Crowley Family, I'm so sorry to hear of the death of your brother. I always thought all the Crowley boys were so cute! Greg sounded like a person that I would have loved to be around and listen to. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Greg:
I did not know you as well, or as long as, Todd did
nor shared in the bond of love you two enjoyed since you were kids
But what I do know of you is that you believed in, and loved the Lord
and despite what your body endured, you’ve now received your great reward
Where you are, there’s no more pain, and no more tears
there’s no more sadness, and no more fears
Only joy unspeakable and love unending
where your soul is mending, and your body transcending
There’s no need for the sun, moon or stars
The Lord is your light, and the fullness of your heart
There’s no worries about food, clothing, or provision
The Lord is your life, and need is forever in remission
Though I did not know you as well, or as long as, Todd did
nor shared in the bond of love you two enjoyed since you were kids
I do know this, that you will never lack for light, life or love
You will ever be with friends, family, and the best of all, the Lord up above

You were my first friend at Bark Park. You helped me so much with my dog, Henry. I loved listening to all your research you did on the Government. It was an honor to learn from you. I will miss you on earth and I look forward to seeing you in the heavens on that blessed day the Lord takes me home. I will see you again my friend. Love ya!

I love ya man, I'm going to miss those long phone calls about history, science, and politics. You had a good handle on explaining how things intertwined to create this great loving organism in which we abide.
