Gregory Lee Coppes A Brief History

  Robert and Geraldine Coppes married and had their son Gregory Lee Coppes. He was born in Defiance Ohio 8.13.1955. Then his sister Robin Coppes was born. 

  Robert remarried and had his brother Philip and sister Debra. Geraldine remarried and had his sisters Julie and Stephanie and then his brother Andrew. His sister Robin died in 1971 at the age of 13.

  Greg married Marsha when he was 19 years old. He went into the Air Force and eventually became a Flying Crew Chief of the C-5 Super Fortress. They had his daughter Miranda in 1976. Greg went on to become Vice President of American Instruments, a subcontracting company at Chevron He then started his own business Coppes Electric. 

  He went on to marry Patti at 33 years old. Together they went on to have daughter Victoria (Tori) in 1989. Then they had a son Clayton in 1991. He had a business  Paradise Electric as well as Interstate Electric. He also worked for American Eagle Electrical. When living in Dixon he became involved in youth football and coaching. Developing the nickname "Coach".

  Greg's father died in 1996 at 63.  His brother Andrew died in 2005 at the age of 36. 

  He went on to have 9 grandchildren. Steven and Miranda Penrose had grandsons Gabriel and Jacob. Nathan Rosten brought his grandson Ethan and together with Victoria (Tori) Rosten had his granddaughter Isla, grandson Declan, and granddaughters Jordan and Natalie. Clayton and Junna Coppes had his grandson Norman and granddaughter Miya. 

  Greg enjoyed organizing poker tournaments. He was President of the Legion Riders and was the California State President for the Legion Riders. He was the founder of that organization. He once held the position Commander of the American Legion Post 208. Greg made a run for State Senate of California. He was also the former chairman of the SCRCC Solano County Republican Central Committee.

Gregory Lee Coppes died on 10.21.2020 in a motorcycle accident when he was 65 years old. 

He remains in our heart and we will miss him till we meet again.
