I first met Grover in 1971 when a bunch of us, [the old gang from Kirby St & then Apex], went up to the DC area to visit Larry's & Becky's parents & their friends there. I liked him from the moment I met him - friendly, funny, easy- going, kind, and then later after they moved out to Cortez, CO, I found out he had a wonderful talent for woodworking, & other stuff ..... I sort of "adopted him as my other dad" - that's how much I thought of him ..... we all had such great times there in Cortez - he loved music, dancing, & just having a good time wherever we were - we had such great parties there ..... he was quietly smart - unassuming, & had a great sense of humor ..... I too will always miss him.
