Hattie, On your 91st I can't help but remember the good times that you and Jean and I had on the golf course. I am sure that you are still having wonderful times.

I wish we had met long ago, the time we did have was way to short. However, you touched my heart that will last forever. I remember when I walked in the door and you'd greet me with a smile and a wave. I give everyone a nickname, yours was Cupcake, it fit you well because you were so soft and sweet. When I took your hand in mine (warm or cold), I would say your hands were cold, you would smile and look at me as if you were waiting for me to ask what does that mean cupcake? You would always say "it means a warm heart" and we would both smile with each other.
I was there on your last day on earth, sitting beside you trying to get as much of the book of Psalms read to you, I knew that was one of your favorite books of the Bible. I was sad when you passed but knew your faith in God had taken you to the heavens above with His open arms and made your body whole. I will miss you from day to days, sometimes sad but always with a smile from the memories we made. I love you my friend <3

We met when I was 10 years old on Union Hill when I met Liz. Hatti was my second Mom. She was always very kind, classy, soulfull, loving, welcoming, generous and sweet. She let me live with them when I was a troubled teen, and never judged and was always helpful and guiding. She was a strong role model single Mom raising Liz and Leslie on her own. She loved all her family more than anything. She had an amazing generous loving spirit. We have all been blessed by an angel and she will be very missed. Rest in Peace MomHatti.

I met Harriet when we moved into the neighborhood in 2007. She and Drake were warm and welcoming neighbors to my husband and me. I will remember her as a sweet and loving person.

I am a hospice volunteer who visited regularly with Harriett the past several months. What a privilege to feel her rich presence even for this brief and more narrow period of her life.

Liz, I am Hattie's first cousin. We lived nest door during our younger years. We were very close but we weren't in contact for the last few years. She was a fine strong person and I know that she loved you dearly. My prayers are with you. Morgan Miller

Beloved companion, friend and wife; short passage of time and will be together again.

A small tribute:

   Autumn Season of Life

We are like leaves upon the tree

That through the window I can see

A few there refused to fall

Did not answer autumns call

They flit and fluttered in the breeze

That slowly moved through Maple trees

They most enjoyed the extended time

They spend in this exotic life

And as they change from Green to Gold

There is a message they unfold

I read it in the simple way

They say good-night at close of day

They all enjoyed their short stay

Perhaps it is because they know

That after the winter and the snow

New life will follow with a mate

This in time will prove life can be great

They seem happy as they cling

As if waiting there for spring

But if they, like we, have passed four score

They know that spring will come no more (in this life)

And that their days, have been our years

Some filled with joy, some with tears

And that the one, which has just passed

Was best of all, though it be last,

Harriett you did a good job, we are proud of you.

(Exanastasis next on time line see you then)
