Happy Birthday, Sir! I still carry great memories of you and our time at MACG-38. I often tell many about our "smokers", field meets, and let's not forget that epic MACG-38 Tailgate and Padres games. I hope Ray Johnson and I ( Lefty) left you little to be desired in the S-4 arena.  Because you left us nothing to be desired in the Leadership arena...you were the BEST CO, I EVER HAD "HAND DOWNS"! You allowed us to soar with eagles if there were any, and strengthen our leadership wings to no end!  Give my regards Rifle, tell him how we treated "Dark Cloud" after he screwed him over! Only YOU could get away with that one, under "RIFLES" command!

Harry: Fondly remember our time as squadron mates with VMA(AW)-121 especially WESTPAC 77-78 deployment. Those were some WICKED AWESOME times particularly when U coached our UNDEFEATED SOFTBALL TEAM! Harry, I always appreciated your advice and wisdom in and out of the Marine Corps. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to speak at the graduation of the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians Fire Academy. We have 3 academies each year and graduate 120 First Responders. A number of the cadets are veterans pursing an honorable profession after the military, many Marines. I always mention the value of a mentor and you specifically and the values that you upheld.  Your legacy lives on.

Hard to believe that 3 years have passed, you have been missed by all in the family. Rest well knowing your family think of you often.

Prick, Mini, Beans, Snatcher ... Four great call signs of four Great Marines and Americans. They touched my life and I am a better person for it. They laugh from that Eternal HH Bar and watch us make the same mistakes that they told us not to do....memories will keep us together forever.....thank you and Semper Fidelis, my friends.
