Helen Cooper Keeton, 82, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Granville Medical Center.

A longtime resident of Granville County, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Martha A Copper. Helen was a member of Marrow’s Chapel Methodist Church and was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Marrow’s Chapel Methodist Church by Rev. Logan Miller and Rev. John Yount. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service at the church from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. and at other times at the home.

Surviving are her husband of sixty-one years, Francis A. Keeton; sons, Steven A. Keeton of Bullock, Charles M. Keeton and Christopher L. Keeton, both of Stovall; brother, James E. Cooper, Jr. of Bullock; grandchildren, Angie K. Sossaman, Jeana K. Currin, Cindy K. Taylor, Travis L. Keeton, Hunter A. Keeton and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Carl R. Keeton.

I am so sorry to hear about Helen. She was always a sweet lady. I'm so glad I was able to see her a few years ago. My sincerest condolences to all of her family and friends. Rest in peace.

I have known Helen all my life plus my Mom, Dad and brother and sister to. All of us thought the world of Helen especially my Mom. To me she was one of the best cooks around to. I use to eat her food when I was real small. She will be missed so much. RIP Helen
