Lena was born in Dublin in 1921 North inner city, the North Strand Road, she later moved to Cabra when their house was damaged during the Blitz ... she was a french polisher by profession and had 4 sisters and one brother. Her maiden name was Masterson. She married Michael Smith from Buckingham Street off the North strand road in 1948 and moved to Corrib Road, Terenure, Dublin 6 to the newly built Guinness estate off the Lower Kimmage Road near to the KCR, as our Dad worked in Guinness.. they had 8 children 4 boys and 4 girls, Maureen, Michael, Renee, Lena, Yvonne, Jimmy, David and Gary. Many happy memories growing up on Corrib Road, where all the children's Dads worked in Guinness... she passed away on April 2nd 1979 aged 57... Too young to go and always missed
