Mr. Sims was born in Sylacauga, Alabama May 9, 1944 to the late Brady Sims and the late Beatrice Thompson Sims, and was retired from Sims Welding and Mechanical Repairs.

He is survived by his wife Marie Eason Sims Of Cusseta, Al, Children-Chris (Mari) Sims of Cusseta, Al., Cyndi Cobb of Prattville, Al., Billie Anne (Dena) Baker of LaGrange, Ga., Claudia Baker of Lake Harding, Deborah (Jamie) Cook of Florida,brother Sammy (Mona) Sims of Sylacuaga. Al., sister-Sara Purvy Of Wetumpka, Al.  8 grandchildren  2 great grandchildren.
