His Life
March 5, 2021
Herman Eugene Rucker was born to Everlene Rucker and Roger Dye on September 5, 1941. He was born in Elberton, GA and was the eldest of 6 children.
Herman traveled to Cincinnati, OH for work in 1961. He found work as a hotel dishwasher, and later at Elmwood Automotive in auto parts. 1966, Herman began work at Litton Industries until 1990.

Herman met Dorothy Richardson. This encounter produced his only child Dawn FaMicia.

Herman was a devoted Father to Dawn. He was also a bonus dad for Dawn’s older siblings, Veronica and Rodney.

Herman was a quiet and simple man. He loved watching both the Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds, (when they were winning), and NASCAR. If there was a cold beer in his hand, he was satisfied even with a loss.

If he gave you a nickname of Knucklehead or Rockhead, you knew he liked you.

His Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren made him smile. “Paw Paw,” as he was called, loved talking to the kids and spoiling them rotten.

Herman enjoyed gushing over his Son-in-law Duane’s cars and Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was always asking to borrower Duane’s Corvette for a HOT Date!

Herman’s parents, brothers Oscar Lee, Portee & John and 1 sister Francis preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter, Dawn FaMicia Williams. A devoted son-in-law, Duane Williams. 3 Grandchildren, Cristen VaLyse Williams of Jacksonville FL, Jayme Anthony Williams & Jaylen Alyse Williams, both of Cincinnati.4 Great-Grand Children. A loving sister, Geraldine Thompson of Hartwell, GA. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
