Hope Durand (Pokie) Ramsey 42 was born in Lanett, Alabama to the union of Willie E. Ramsey, Jr., and Tommie Jean McCauley Ramsey, on April 20, 1975.

He transitioned to his heavenly home on Sunday September 10, 2017 at the EAMC Lanier Hospital in Valley, Alabama.

Funeral services will be held Saturday September 16, 2017 at 1 PM (ET) at the St. James Baptist Church with Rev. John Floury, Jr., Pastor officiating, with Rev. L. W. Booker, Eulogist, Rev. Leonard Autry, Dr. Lamar D. Johnson, Bishop Donald Lancaster, & Rev. W. G. Wimberly assisting.

Burial will follow at the Pine Hill Cemetery in Lanett, Al.,
