Ilene M. Gallagher, of Orange, California, passed to our Lord Jesus Christ on Christmas morning, December 25, 2017. She was 75 years young.

Ilene was born in San Luis Obispo, California to Carl Fred Tonini and Ethel Ana Litchfield-Tonini. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Todd Gallagher, for 30 years. They were soulmates, best of friends, and did everything together. Ilene was a loving mother to 4 children: Lori, Marla, Marvin, and Chad. Ilene adored all 27 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Granddaughters: Amber, Brittney, Emma, Jessika, Jillyan, Karli, Katie, Nikki. Grandsons: Alex, Chase, Dereck, Josh, Kyle, Logan, Nickolas. Great Granddaughters: Bella, Hailey. Great Grandsons: Andrew, Ben, Christopher, Jesse, Jullian, Nicholas, Peyton, Phillip, Shawn, and Thor. Ilene was the youngest child of Fred and Ethel. She is survived by her sister Ruth, whom she had a very special and loving relationship with, and her brother Carl, whom she adored and had many stories about.

Ilene has always been sharp as a whip and until the end, she could still recall the many trips and adventures she shared with Todd, her family, and friends. In her final days, she had the pleasure of praying with many friends and family. She especially cherished the time with Pastor Martin (retired from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Orange), who confirmed her into the Lutheran Church many, many years ago.

Ilene’s special interests were babies, babies, and babies. She also enjoyed traveling abroad and across the USA with Todd and friends on their Harleys, and later in their motorhome.

Per Ilene’s wishes, she will be cremated with no services. She wanted to be remembered the way that we have all come to love and know her. Please feel free to memorialize Ilene with your special memories at:
