I remember one common thing he says whenever we are close to achieving a milestone; I will go to Saint Pauls for thanksgiving once you get it.

He was full of hopes and great aspirations for his kids. A great icon.

Whenever my siblings and I come with our numerous bills, dad will begin to slash the excesses and then say "Do you think I will spend money like a drunken sailor?" 

It was an annoying question back then but sounds funny now.
