Isha was truly a gem and a blessing in the lives of everyone she met. She brightened my days with her light heartedness and constant encouraging words. I will miss you dear friend. I know you were in pain these past weeks but you never let on, you just stayed true to yourself and found the most positive way to share your situation. I am thankful that I got to communicate with you the day before you entered eternal rest. Keep smiling down on us Isha!

Isha, I remember last year she Facebook me and we had the longest conversation. She was talking to me by what's up call.then she give me the warmest laughter after sharing a few stories

I didn't see Isha enough and when you hear about something like this you can't help but feel shame. Why didn't I try harder? She was such a beautiful lady inside and out and I could've spent so much time with her, you will be on my heart forever Darlin. Until we meet again :(

God just has a way of doing things. I thank him for loaning Isha to us. Isha brought me lots of joy and I am extremely grateful for meeting her in October 1993.

Our more than regular group chats indicated that she loved us all. I do hope she felt that she was loved too. Any delayed response from her sparked questions. She has now gone to a place where pain and uncertainity will be no more. May she rest in peace

I am in complete disbelief and filled with sadness, but I am also happy because Isha Simmons was my mentor, confidant, and great friend. She always believed in me and shared valuable life lessons with me. Humility is her middle name and Kindness is her last name. Above all, Love is all she gave me and I'll always keep that with me.
