Jake, you spent so many wonderful times with our family being that you and Brendan's were best friends as teens.

We share so many fun memories from Victor and Fair Haven, and some not so fun times as the two of you grew up as teenagers together, but we would not trade one of those moments without you. Even the 11:00 PM or 6:00 AM phone calls when we would lament about life, job opportunities, and a few sad moments here and there. 

Erin loves to remember the many times you snatched her out of bed, dragged her down the spiral staircase, out to the dock and threw her in Fair Haven's freezing water. "She is like my sister", Mrs. Shambo, " I had to do it".

You made my heart warm when you called me your "second Mom". Well, I have to say, I could not have asked for a more wonderful second son! The Shambo family misses you

I will always hold you close to my heart! Remembering the glow in your eyes when you talked about your girls, family,work, and your special laugh. Always full of joy and love. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.

I never met you, however, had the pleasure of knowing your wife Jessica. She was my evening/weekend babysitter in her high school years...5 years she watched my children. Unfortunately, you were taken from this earth way to young and will not be able to watch those beautiful little girls grow up. I am sure that Jessica will always make sure you are in those girls life and they will remember you forever. She will be the best Mother for those little ones.

Jake. The only real brother I have ever had. I miss you every day. I think of you and Jess and the girls and your mom and rest of your family every day. I listen to my "Jake" playlist often, full of all your favorite songs. Each one brings back a memory and I still can't hold back the tears. I will miss you forever but the lighthearted way you lived every day of your life will shine a light in my every day. I am just grateful to have had you in my life. The kids cannot wait to explain to Colby Jake the significance of his name. You will be a part of our lives forever.

Jake was the best son in law! There are so many things I could say about you Jake but you already know.I think about you and your girls every day.You are forever missed and loved! One of my so many memories of Jake was how he always loved to dance around with his girls and be funny to make them laugh.

I've thought of you, Jess and the girls just about every day since you left this earth. I keep them in my prayers and I'm sure you will watch over them daily. I just know you were about the best friend my son, Bo, could have ever had. I remember when he had a medical issue you wanted to do everything possible to make it better. You two had something very special that only comes along once in awhile. You loved Connor and Erin just as much. And I will never forget you drove so far during that awful snowstorm to my Mom's calling hours because you knew we would need that awesome bear hug and smile only you could give. We will miss you always and am grateful you were in ours lives even tho it was for a short time. Just wish we could have seen you more but it was enough to leave a lasting impression forever. Bless you always.

I remember all the laughs we had in school. When I think of Jake I see his smile and hear him laugh. You will never be forgotten my friend. All my condolences to your wife and girls.

When I think of Jake, I think of laughter. When I picture his face, all I see is a huge smile. He made college hilarious. To see him on Facebook over the last few years as a husband and devoted daddy to your sweet girls has been such a treat. My love to you all!

Please except my deepest condolences. It is unnatural to lose one so young in death. I've found comfort in knowing that "there is going to be a resurrection" (Acts 24:15) I hope that you'll find comfort in God’s promise that you can see your loved one again during a time when "death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." (Revelation 21:4)

I personally never met you, but I here great things and crazy stories from your daughters when I watch them. They are the sweetest girls and they have a terrific mother. By how they all talk about you, I have learned many things and feel like I met you. They all adore you and you will always leave wonderful memories for them to hold on to forever.
