Missed you as much on the 7th anniversary, as on the first. I sure wish I'd had your help with a few things, this past year. But, then again, maybe I did. Love, forever. Wife
With family life, Jim developed a love of cooking. Though favoritism was rarely shown, with exceptions of deviled eggs, or a Big Mac, Jim had a true love of food and "making food". His creativity was awesome, as he took on the role of Chef and served up many a gourmet feast to family and friends.
As a mother-in-law, this is bragging, but I did want to comment and add this to all his other attributes of achievement, for this was a favorite.
Jim, I will miss you coming into the Commissioners Office and our long talks. You always made me laugh. Patti was so right when she said you were just a big teddy bear....we all knew it. You served Kitsap County well - always so quick to respond to our problems and complaints. I hope you know we all loved you and will miss you greatly. I know your family meant the world to you as your face lit up when you talked about them - especially Patti. You lived a good life, full of adventures but it was too short. You fought a hard fight but now rest in peace and know we will miss you.
I worked with Jim for 11 years and in that time if I knew only one thing about him, it was how his face lit up when he talked of his wife Patti and his granddaughter Amelia. I will truly miss his drive and dedication and I don't think I will ever meet anyone who put as much heart and soul into his work as this man did. He will truly be missed. Rest easy Jim because I know you are continuing to watch over your family.
