Dad was born in Portsmouth,Ohio to George and Pearl Lewis on March 11th 1928.He was the 7th child out of 9. He had 3 sisters and 6 brothers.He had to work at a very young age helping out his Mother and Father.He lived in Portsmouth during the depression and the flood that hit our town back in 1937. Dad showed me lots of pictures and they had to use boats to get around in the flood.
   Dad worked at a drug store and that is where he met our mother.They were married on March 17th 1951. My brother was born on February 15th 1952. Three years later I was born on March 15th 1955.When I was a child I remember Dad working as a Police Officer in Portsmouth he was there for 14 years.Then he worked at a grocery company untill we moved to Texas after I graduated from high school.We lived in Texas for almost 20 years. He worked as a manager for M  E Moses company a little 5 and 10 store.Then he moved back home to Portsmouth.He started working at a drug store delivering prescriptions untill he retired. 
    Dad then moved to Port Clinton Ohio to be close to his son and Dad had his leg amputated in Cleveland.
        Dad moved back to portsmouth in 2001 and that is where he lived  untill he got ill and passed away in 2008.
