We were crushed to lose a wonderful friend over the weekend. Jimmy LaRocco was a wonderful guy with a huge heart, wonderful wit, and an inventive mind that was chock full of fun. Being his friend was a crazy ride full of laughter. He defined Halloween with things like headless costumes that squirted icky stuff, horror theatre haunted houses, and the like. He created the Loch Highland Yacht Club for our 20'-wide canal where cocktail parties were held on a mish mosh of rubber rafts and canoes, he had a garage full of old pinball machines to restore, and he could dance the stroll like nobody else! He was also the second person inducted into the Karate Hall of Fame, right after Chuck Norris, and he used that talent to teach kids self defense and self confidence. He was way too young to leave us all, and we'll miss him. Cheers to you, Jim! Give Rocky a hug for us too. xo

R.I.P Mr. LaRocco. I will miss sitting with you at the Georgia Southern games! You were a great fan and a great friend. I will carry on your tradition of yelling "Fumble!" on every kickoff. I am so thankful that I got to know you.

RIP Mr LaRocco. We have loved sitting near you at the football games. Your feisty spirit and enthusiasm is what GSU Football is all about. Thank you for being so sweet to my little girl by giving her any mascots you weren't going to be needing anymore. God Bless your family.

Sensei La Racco is the sweetest and most caring person I have ever met in my life. He gave hope to my daughter when she had lost it and she thought of him as the Grandfather she never had. We love and miss you, and will always hold you in our hearts forever. We are so thankful that we have had a chance to know him.

Although I only saw him at karate events the little time we spent together was always fun and memorable. He was too young to pass but be heartened that his spirit lives on through the many lives he has touched and influenced. He enjoyed each moment of his life and all of you can follow those teachings. On behalf of Hanshi Adler and myself our deepest and heartfelt sympathy. Osu!
