I met Jim during the time we both where at EDS. Jim came a few times over from the US to share his expertise with us. During one of these trips, in april 2004, I asked Jim if he would like to visit something during the weekend. He said he would love to visit the invasion beaches in Normandy and the honorary cemetery of WW2, because he visited most of the others.

So we drove down from the Netherlands to France, a 5-6 hour trip. I made sure we blended in by eating and drinking like the French, as you can on the photo.

We had a lovely time. Although there was an ocean separating us, we never lost sight of each other.

Rest in peace, my friend.

English Class

Jim was such a gentle soul in high school. We had great times in English class. My fondest memory of Jim was when we read the parts of Romeo and Juliet in English class, truly full of giggles and laughter.

Years after graduation, we renewed our friendship on FB. I learned he remained a gentle soul through his love for family and grandchildren. Thank you for your service, Jim. Thank you for sharing your life. You will be missed.
