On this day, I again reflect on your passing - and you are so missed as much as on this day, 8 years ago. Last November, on Veteran's Day, we said goodbye to your big sister Judith, as she was called by our Father in Heaven to join you, and I am sure your reunion with her is filled with JOY. I love you Janet!

My baby sister, 7 years -- we miss you in so many ways, your smile, your laughter and your sense of humor. You were acutely in the forefront of my mind as I and my family visited Detroit this December to celebrate with yours and my Mother, her 90th Birthday. I truly felt your presence there with us, I love you!

This tribute is in honor of Janet and her love for her garden. It is dedicated by Mary Brown - Class of 1976, and Carole Brown - Class of 1973.

GOD's Garden

God looked around his garden and Found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew that you were in pain.
He knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids and whispered, Peace be Thine.
It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home."

Janet was my first friend in the US - she was our neighbor. I was 10 but I still remember her smile and her kindness. Janet was lively! I loved seeing all the photos of her and to see the love she had around her. She will always have a place in our hearts and will never be forgotten. Our condolences to the family and her close friends.

In Janet's heart a garden grows. She created a life that reflected her dreams. Her message to us was always an inspiration.
LIVE A LIFE THAT DEFINES YOUR PURPOSE. Don't limit yourself. Take time to explore, push the boundaries and you will grow. You will be missed. Mary and Carole Brown

Who could be more fortunate than me? Being the 2 youngest girls in the family, Janet and I grew up very close and shared in most aspects of each other’s lives until I moved away to college. We were quite close. In fact we knew each other so well, at times we could clearly communicate with each other without completing sentences. I’m sure that was confusing to those around us, but we sure could say a lot in just a few words.

I have so many wonderful memories and I cherish everyone. Janet was amazingly talented in so many different areas. She was thoughtful and generous in helping others in every way she could. She seemed to look for ways to encourage others with her insight and wisdom. Janet had a magnetism that drew friends to her and her smile and enthusiasm would brighten any room.

Life will not be the same without Janet, but like she would say to me, “let’s make good memories and never forget them.” Yes, I will remember and love my dear sister forever. I have been so blessed to have had her in my life and to have shared in ways only sisters can.

Thank you Janet for this wisdom -- "Learn to infuse yourself with the powers that heal. Everyone has them, we need only to awaken them."

Janet had a couple of very dark periods that effected large portions of her life. Through it all she made many wonderful and faithful friends from whom she drew energy to be successful in her career.

Then came cancer--and no one fought that fight harder than Janet. And as always her friends were there for her. She was able to deal longer with all the pain and suffering due to the love from all her friends.

Janet finally reached the next spiritual plane. We will always have her love and if we listen hard enough, we might even hear her wonderful laugh.

Janet was a great warrior. You are my hero, Janet. May God bless you.. Love, Judi.

A beautiful soul inside and out. I will miss her, too many good people are leaving our sides. I guess God has made a place for them in heaven without any pain or sickness. To all her family and friends, may you find peace and happiness. Time will heals us and we will up meet in heaven. Love you all.

To the family and friends of Janet,

Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. The Bible promises at Acts 24:15 that there is going to be a resurrection. The bible records several resurrections, thus giving us a solid basis for believing that your loved one will be raised up. Please read Luke 7:11-17. I hope that these verses will bring you comfort during this time.

My daughter Heather and I created this tribute and memorial to honor Janet. We gathered many photos from so many sources - Mom, sisters Barbara and Anita, and close friends of Janet. We converted them to digital medium so they could be uploaded in this site. We sincerely trust it will touch your hearts and bring smiles to your faces as you view and meditate on the life of Janet. If you feel compelled, PLEASE share in turn other stories, photos, or tributes you may have. Thank you so much
