My condolences to you, Dan and all Jan's loved ones. So often I'd answer the phone at home in AA when Jan would call my dad, Gil Bursley. We'd always chat for a bit. We had another very warm conversation after my dad passed away. She really was Gil's right hand during their time together working in Lansing and he depended on her sharp mind and focus for much of his legislative acts.
Sorry to see this news. Sigh.

I'm terribly sorry to hear this. I have fond memories of your mom from when we were kids, and after when she would always take the time to talk. My thoughts are with you.

My condolences to you. I have so many nice memories of your Mom from when I was growing up. I remember the sleepovers, and how welcoming and friendly she was. The Halloween parties she used to put together for us kids were so much fun (and she was always ready for those of us that got scared at the movies with some hot chocolate or other treat when we would inevitably head upstairs to the kitchen). My best to you and yours .... Matt

Dan - we are so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. She was such a welcoming spirit for our little part of the neighborhood. We have fond memories of her as a great neighbor and friend. Her great smile and laugh will be missed. That's a great photo of her in the kitchen.
