We are shocked and saddened by this news. How cruel that someone with Janice's zest for life should have hers cut short. She was a wonderful friend - upbeat, energetic, kind and always entertaining.  We send our sincere sympathy and wish the family comfort and strength at this dark time. Janet and John

We are out of the province and received the news of Jan's passing in emails from our Church family and are still in shock from the news.  Jan was always so full of life and was such a proud grandmother that it is hard to think of sitting in church and not seeing her there with her "Family" nearby.  Please accept our most sincere condolences and prayers.  Carol & Mark

I was in complete shock when Ethel emailed me early Sunday morning telling me of Janice's leaving us all. I have always counted Janice and her brother Paul as my oldest friends. (I have added a photo of us from 1957) In fact I was asked often in the 1950's and 1960's at St Peters if Janice was my sister.  Sunday morning I woke up at 3 am and sent an email to Janice never dreaming that it would never be answered. Janice and her family are in my prayers.  I never dreamed she would be taken from her loved ones at so early an age. God Bless Keith and her children and siblings always.  Love Jim

As everyone else I am in total shock to hear of Janice's passing. I remember many good times we all spent together so many years ago both at the house and at the cottage. In those days you were all my extended family and I felt that Janice was the sister I never had. She was such a happy person. To you and the Hilton/Musselman families I express my deepest sympathy.

I was so deeply saddened to learn of Jan's passing. She was a remarkable human being! She filled her 66 years always to the brim. I had only recently reconnected with Jan and was so looking forward to continuing our early evening walks when the weather improved. I will miss her but her memory will live strong as I picture her laughing, and telling stories as I continue to walk without her. God bless!

Keith and Family.
I remember Janice getting on the old Dart.Transit to go over to the Infirmary for X-Ray school. Then as she became involved in the NS CAMRT I worked with her at various times. She was always so capable and able to take on projects. Always cheerful. Being at the VGH our paths crossed at meetings very often. Our paths crossed again at Woodlawn United and Janice again became very involved in the life and work of the church. She had time for everyone and the love for her family was evident in her gracious manner.
Great memories
Our sincere condolences

Keith, Nikki, Tim, Billy and Family: It is with heavy heart I write this note. All I can think of is the fun Henn and I have shared with you and Jan. She was the most remarkable person I have known and I loved to be with her. We shared so many laughs and stories from Saint Peter's to the Investment clubs and the personal times we were together. Glad that she and Shirley got to stay with us last year. So sorry we can't be there, we will get in touch when we get home in May.

Hello,  I haven't stopped thinking about Jan. I received the sad news at work Monday morning. This awful news reminds me we are not in this form forever, I will remember the smile on her face whenever I had to go to x-ray. As busy as her department was at times she still smiled. Her energy will be spread even farther than it already has, that I am sure of. My thoughts are with her family and all who knew her.

I was lucky enough to be a classmate of Janice's at Saint Peter's School. I haven't seen her for years but am saddened to hear that she is no longer with us.  As a teen or pre-teen I attended a summer party at her parents' house. Still remember the corn boil, Janice's mother admonishing us for wasting the butter and the joie de vivre! Her sisters were there and everyone contributed to a raucous, lively evening. So sorry for her family who now have a missing part. Life should not be this way, having to pay so dearly for losing a loved one.

Keith and family to say I am shocked and so very sad at the loss of Jan, one of the most beautiful and caring people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing would indeed be an understatement. All to often we never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory. Nothing was too much to ask of this wonderful lady and her energy and enthusiasm was infectious and made Jan a joy to be around. My love and sympathies are with the Musselman family ...all the best and always remember Jan was "the best"...Clyde M. Horner

My sympathy to all of Janice's family. We were great friends when Janice was at St. Peter's Schoool. I'd like to say, how sorry I am that you have lost Janice, to Shirley, Maureen and Paul, whom I knew. I saw Janice at a St. Peter's Reunion in Woodside (circa 1999) and she told me about her wonderful husband and her wonderful children. You have my condolences. It's so hard to lose a wife, a mother, a grandmother, who loved you so much. An anecdote: I ran into Marc Connors, of the Nylons, in Toronto, 20 years after Janice, he and I had been in Grade 7 together and he asked about Janice first, of the 50 or so boys and girls, in our class back then. A very memorable woman. May God bless you all in your grief..
