This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Jay Kennedy 18 years old , born on June 25, 2000 and passed away on July 17, 2018. We will remember him forever.

  Jay was the precious son of Billie Kennedy & Jason Kennedy. He was born and raised in Paris/Puryear, TN. He left behind two little brothers Jaden Ragsdale & Ian Kennedy. He was a life long member of Puryear Babtist Church, where he was baptized and committed his life to the Lord. 

  Jay started to school at Rhea Elementary & city schools until 6th grade when he transferred to Harrelson & started playing football & basketball. He excelled with his height & weight. He finished thru 8th grade where he then moved on to Grove as a freshman. He had made the freshman football team for Henry County. He then made varsity team  for Sophmore thru his Senior year. He made good grades naturally. Upon his Senior year, the grades & his athletic abilities joined forces & he recieved a 4yr football scholarship to Bethel University in McKenzie, TN. Jays dreams came true!!

This day one year ago you were getting ready to go to your Senior Prom. Bursting with excitement. We finally talked you into going. I think you were glad you went. I know your friends sure are. The memories you all made that night will carry them now the rest of their life. They all carry you along in their heart. They will always remember you just as we will. You were so handsome & your smile still shines brightly in my mind on the darkest of nights. I love you Jaybird❤

We love you son, thinking of you so much with it being Fish Fry. Remembering all the fun you had last year at the carnival. You absolutely loved that BIG ride I think it was called Alter Ego & how YOU went everyday just to ride that one ride! I'll never forget that lol. We love you so much Jaybird

The Day Jay was born

Jay was born June 25, 2000 on a Sunday morning @ 8:28a.m. He was absolutely perfect weighing 8lbs 3oz & 22in long all 10 fingers & toes. He peed all over the Dr & nurses & the wall, we all were tickled at it bc it was just like a water gun lol!! His due date was July 11th, he decided he was ready to join us about 2wks earlier. We had to have my baby shower at the hospital bc it was planned for the Sunday he was born, so we just had it in the hospital room. I remember this day so vividly. The day my angel was born
