I read 13Clocks yesterday, Jeannie's copy of her favorite children's book. It kindled my closeness to her uniqueness. Forever a part of us.

Ever in my memory.

During the holidays while baking cookies together, Jeannie would lead us in singing "a partridge in a pear tree." I planted a pear tree in her memory. This year for the holidays it dropped a ripe pear into my hand. I still feel her in my life.

Jean did not stand on the sidelines of life. She loved strong sweet coffee, baseball, roses, cats and her sports car. She was a very independent woman who never lost the counter-culture attitudes of her youth. She brought a great deal of intelligence and integrity to her professional life. I will miss her more than I can say. She left us too soon.

I loved Jeanie for her willingness to share laughs -- and I loved how she accepted folks as they came (and seemingly rejoiced in the differences!) Her tender care of her Mother was inspiring and evidenced her loving heart. I find comfort in the image of Jean peeking through the clouds to add a heavenly cheer when the Padres make a great play! She was a great Lady.

I loved Jean from the first moment I saw her and she is still the most constant love of my life. She was both best friend and love, always supportive and sharing; my memories of her will be with me forever.

Jean was a good friend and co-worker for many years. She was intensely loyal and always saw the good side of people. I will miss her!

Jeannie epitomized dignity and generosity. I cherish the inspiration she brought to living life with a serious flair for fun and appropriateness. She was my strong pillar of integrity showing me how to face the world square on with inner strength. At the same time she was a kitten princess of a little girl with fresh joy for daily doings. I miss my uniquely spiritual mentor and friend.
