Four Years

April 6, 2016

Seems like just yesterday, those many memories made so long ago with my best friend Bear. We moved next door to each other when I was 6 and Bear was 5. I can vividly recall our first meeting. Best friends from then on. That was 58 years ago.

On the other hand, it almost seems like an eternity looking back to that day I received the call from Barb, informing me of Jeffs passing. Four years seems longer somehow.

I pause this morning to reflect on the good times I had with Bear through the years. Happy to have been a part of his life, sad that the new memories are no longer being made.

Now, with the passing of Barb, I know she and Jeff are back together and that does my heart and soul good.

So, here is to you Bear n Barb....know that you are both still very alive in the hearts of those still here on God's earth.

We will see each other again. Until then...love ya bro.

Its a cloudy day Feb. 1/14

Soon enough it will be 2/14/14  I have been sitting here reading all the kind words of memories gone by.  I still miss that wonderful guy that shared our lives mine and 3 daughters for 34 years.  Way longer than their real dad lived almost.  There have been doves following us across the country.  Texas to Arizona and back.  All us 4 ladies are back in TX now and we will be visiting the two  resting places of these 2 wonderful men that shared our lives with us.  Valentines day is only 2 weeks away maybe we will go to Fort Sam Houston to visit the girls dad that day. It a special day.  We will also plan a trip up to Lake Texoma  around Easter would be good.  Memories are wonderful. For all who wrote and shared I hope you return to read and share your tears.  Its good for all of us!    Thanks for stopping by!  I will read your thoughts here and it does help to know your still  dropping in.  Barb and the girls.

She could not attend. The two Grate Grand sons where having a time playing in the dirt helping out plant the flower bulbs. If you would like to see pics please visit  my sons "facebook" page "chris trujillo", or daughter "alicia trujillo". her vidio log. Wish you where here, but, I am sure you where watching. I had a feeling of happyness and and good memories flooded my mind of our time together and watersking and hiking and fishing for Bass and Sunperch., as well as camping out and rosting mashmellows by camp fires. Our Dear Barb, we are so sorry to hear that Bear left you and us so suddenly.

We always enjoyed your visits, and we appreciated his loving concerns for our Grandchildren.

We will never forget our trip to Palm Springs with the two of you.  Rick so enjoyed golfing with his buddy.

"Bear" you will be forever missed but you will always and forever be in our hearts and minds for being the kind person you were.  We are THANKFUL that you are no longer in pain.

You stay in touch through spirits and love.

We will miss you and we want to THANK YOU for the friendships we had.
Love to you always,
Carol & Rick Sindelar

Jeff Pollock - The Sequel

April 13, 2012

I was reading about the Fun Factory and I believe it was a place for racing slot cars on Greenville Avenue in Richardson, Texas. I think I went there once or twice.

I remember when Jeff had a go cart...sheesh what year was that...circa 1969 or 1970 I think. He let me drive it. Of course, I got pulled over by a cop while driving a go cart on the sidewalk. (If you don't like the way I drive, stay off the sidewalk! lol)

And the fun times riding the Honda Trail 70's and hanging out at his parents' Lake Texoma place.

I also remember Jeff's Dodge Super Bee. We cruised Forest Lane a couple of times on a Friday night. Nothing dramatic, just cruising and having fun.

I saw Jeff's white Harley Davidson last September. It was an awesome bike. I know Jeff did what he loved to do. Aneeeeee!

I took out the fish incident at Lake Texoma due to the tribute morals. The fish did bite him though. I'll leave it at that.

Hope you're doing okay, Barbara. It was nice to meet you.

Barb – My heart goes out to you in this sad time. You and Bear were so much in love, and I hope you find peace and comfort from all those who send love your way.

Many memories flood my mine as I write the message: The fourth of July’s gatherings, were all the men lined up for hair cuts in the driveway, and of course Bear only received a trim. There are those winter evenings when we all stood outside around the hot tub to smoke, because we weren’t allowed to smoke in the house. Having to turn on the hot tub to keep the room warm. Oh and the times the weather (ice & snow) was so bad we couldn’t drive to work, but could pile up in the truck and run over to slide down the hill towards the pond. Needed James & Bear to hold one end of the log so you and I could walk behind them to get back up the hill, to do it all over again. Spear fishing for carp in the creek behind your house. Bear’s gift of designing tattoos, one for my husband and another for my Dad. Those are a few memories and they’re forever etched in my mind and heart.

I missed you both when you moved away, I miss you “Bear” now that you have been called home and I still miss you Barb. His bold laugh will forever echo in my memory. RIP Bear – you are missed but will never forgotten. Love Debbie West

Jeff Pollock

April 9, 2012

Jeff Pollock taught me a lot of stuff. Jeff got me a guitar from Phil Schulz, taught me pool, ping pong, I still have the guitar btw, Phil.

Jeff was ingenuious, creative, mechanical.  Jeff also played drums. We jammed a bit playing the Ventures and other songs.

Once we got a tarp and two skateboards and sailed north from the southerly winds on the new Waterview road extension.  Not to mention skiing on his folks backyard with card board boxes on a hot summer afternoon.

Jeff had nicknames for everyone. He was such a nut.

I will miss you Jeffrey.

May God bless you and your family.

Bear~~Wow! what a guy!

April 7, 2012

I love u Bear!~~He always wished I would say it more but it was very hard for me! He was my moms best friend for the last 34 yrs. so he was like a step dad to me & my two sisters (Dora & Ashlyn). I have lots of great memories of JEFFERY CHARLES POLLOCK~~Bear! One good one is: he & I went for a Harley ride somewhere in AZ. mts where he & my mom like to ride--it was Nov. 2009 I think. We stopped on the side of the road to stretch & him to roll a cig. But, of course wouldnt you know a police officer saw "this big burly biker" etc so thought he had to investigate--not to mention he was "rolling a cig" (which really was a cigarette)--but the officer didnt know that see! So, Bear started laughing and said, watch "Deedles" (which is a nickname he called me forever since we met him when I was like 12 yrs old.) the cop thinks Im rolling a marijuana cigarette & he has to check it out! I laughed & said ok lets see. So, the officer pulled up beside us and said, "Hi folks, everything ok? Motorcycle not broke down or anything is it? You guys dont need help do ya?" Bear smiled at me and him & said we are fine officer just needed to stretch & smoke my cigarette. We were both shocked he was so nice & not judgemental cuz of BEARS looks! So, we laughed and he smoked & then went on with our ride. I am so happy to have this site to share about Bear. I got to speak to him the last week of his life & we had a good chat about them wanting to ride up Dallas next week (April 9th or so) and all of us going to meet at his moms in Richardson again. Then on Friday April 6th at like 4:45 Central time I accidentally (NOT really since it was obvisously Gods plan for me to get to say HI & BYE to him one last time)~~dialed Bears phone number on my cell when I was trying to call my fiancee about the bad traffic. It was funny--I heard this "gruff" loud "What" on the other end of the line~~ & i said, "hey can you look at the news about the traffic for me"~~but i said to myself oh that wasnt Rodney? so i hung up on him (Bear)! I called my bf back & then took my phone & looked to see who i mistakenly called & it was BEAR so I called him back to apologize for hanging up on him! He picked up & said, "hello-- i said hi bear its deedee, sorry i hung up on you earlier--i was getting stuck in traffic & thought i was calling rodney." Bear laughed & said, " I was talking to my mom & told her some dumb kid just called me & told me to do something & hung up on me!" LOL We both laughed! And Bear said that was funny "DeeDles" I love you be safe driving. I said ok Love you too~~Bye Bear!!!! omg this is so hard! Wow I am so blessed to have gotten to say good bye like that~~ like he & I always did sharing  lots of laughs! Thank you God!
