Her Life

Jennifer's Funk

February 25, 2013

Jennifer was 100% unique.

She did not care what was the new hit on the radio or what the new fad was in fashion. She did Jennifer and did everything that made her happy all of the time. She enjoyed the simple things in life like blasting music with the windows down, baking, laying around in parks, traveling, laughing with her friends, making people laugh through Theatre, spending time with family, and her dogs Lily and Floyd-but then there were things that made her Jennifer- Jennifer Louise Bobrick.

Like her obsession with peacocks, Tom's, El Parasol, combination of Hollister skinny jeans-cardigan-tank top outfit, raybans, her seahorse necklace, and seashell ring, AND crystal necklace, junk food-but then again her very sophistacated sense in restaurants, Napa Valley (Oxbow), Carmel CA (Casanova), girl scout camp from kid to counselor, ti-dye from clothes to hair, summer days driving to Abiqui, always jumping first into the big glassy water, Sonic drinks and tater tots. If you knew Jennifer you could be sure to always remember her by her unique eye in her artwork, her uncomparable creativity in everything she did, her great taste in music (definitely from her Dad), her childlike spirit that was contagious, her determination from traveling to London from making sure we had that sleepover, her many stories that somehow never ended, her endless phone conversations, her way of always remaining positive no matter what the situation was, her big cat like green eyes, her quirky-yet adorable/dorky grin, her way of making no sitaution awkward and her genuine desire of making everyone (even strangers) feel wanted-like they belonged in that moment with her.

These are the moments that will remain in our hearts and keep her funky spirit alive in each and everyone of us forever and always.

We love you Jennifer till the end of time,

Brooke & Lauren

Remembering Jennifer

February 25, 2013

Jennifer Louise Bobrick passed away unexpectedly on February, 23, 2013. She is missed by her mother and father, Amy and John Bobrick, brother Eric James, grandparents Joe and Frances Lowe, uncle Scott Lowe, uncle Rick Bobrick, his wife Cathleen and their children Emily, Kevin, and Caroline and all of her beloved friends. Jennifer was a sophomore at the University of New Mexico, studying art and psychology. She wanted to become an art therapist working with children. One of her favorite memories was studying art at the Oxbow School in Napa, CA for a semester in high school.

Though Jennifer was taken from us much too soon, she lived her life with passion and adventure. She was a free spirit, loved traveling, playing with her labradoodles Floyd and Lily, skiing, and music. She was a camp counselor in the Summer of 2012 where she learned about leadership and met more of her friends. Her friends meant the world to her, being like a family to her.

Jennifer was inspired by her teachers and enjoyed work in a local art gallery. She was a talented artist, evidenced by the gifts she gave to friends and family and by her personal art projects. She was also an excellent innkeeper, working alongside her mother. Jennifer lived life to the fullest and would want everyone to remember her bright spirit.

In lieu of flowers, Jennifer's family asks that donations be made to the Children's Museum of Santa Fe (http://www.santafechildrensmuseum.org), Warehouse 21 (http://www.warehouse21.org), and the OxBow School (http://www.oxbowschool.org).
