Jerry was 19 years old working at a convenience store around the corner from my Mother's beauty shop. I went in the store, saw a very handsome young man I didn't recognize. As I was leaving to walk home, he called out to me and from that day, I was smitten. He invited me to a Dallas Cowboy's game and I went had a wonderful time and fell in love with a beautiful soul that had a heart as big as Texas.
