I had the chance to reconnect with Mrs. Baldwin about a year ago, in Stop & Shop -- after about 50 years. After brief introductions, she began a summary of the lives of her dear children and also told me of her concern for Mr. Baldwin, who had had a bad fall. It was so clear from this brief encounter that Mrs. Baldwin was so very proud of her family. What a lovely service at the church yesterday, a wonderful tribute to a sweet, sweet woman!

To the Baldwin family:
I took care of Joan when she was getting blood transfusions
at the infusion center. She was a lovely dignified woman.
Fought every step of the way to stay alive, until she couldn't
any longer! We had long conversations about her family. She loved all of you! I think of her often when I am at work!! RIP Joan, your suffering has ended.

What a beautiful way to celebrate your Mom's life.
