It has been a year and I still miss her. She loved our Friday night dinners, playing bridge and researching her family tree. I never saw her without a smile.
Aunt Joan it's hard to believe that you left us one year ago. Looking at all the pictures that Sara posted brings back so many great memories. I miss you everyday! You were by far the best Aunt anyone could have! I love you always.
Sara, I'm so glad we were able to be together today and toast the memory of your very special mom. I know you miss her very much. Her kindness and sweetness lives on and she will never be forgotten.
I am saddened to hear the news about your mom. She always had a great smile every time I saw her. She was a wonderful hostess and made the best potato salad ever! I will miss her and remember her each time I prepare and enjoy her wonderful potato salad recipe she shared with me. She is resting with our Lord now and I hope that will give you peace. May God comfort and bless each of you
I have such wonderful memories of Mrs. DeMasters. She was so patient with us when we were crazy teenage girls. She was always smiling and happy. Such a kind and sweet lady will be missed by us all.
I grew up down the street from Joan DeMasters. I remember her as a very kind woman who always made everyone feel welcome in her home. She will be missed by many. Prayers are sent to her family and friends.~
I grew up across the street from Mrs. DeMasters, that's what I called her. I remember she always had a smile and was very friendly. Looks like hundreds of folks were touched by her. My sympathies.

Ellsworth and I share Camden Roots. Joan was such a special person & will be missed by many. I will miss talking and laughing at Aunt Myrtle Kirby's kitchen table! May the memories of the life you shared help ease your sorrow and the comfort of family and friends help heal your heart. You are all in my thoughts and prayers and I hope that your memories will bring you peace and comfort.
Joan was such a happy and outgoing person - full of life and love. I am so glad I got to see her and got a hug the week before she passed away. My thoughts and prayers are with Ellsworth and the family during this difficult time. May God wrap His loving arms around each of you and comfort you. Heaven gained a beautiful angel when God called her home. . .
Ellsworth is a distant cousin of mine (Embly line) I met Joan and Ellsworth through my family research and they were very kind and showed me around Embly Gap Rd. and the areas our families owned.I'm very sorry I didn't get to see them more and know them better. I know Joan shared my love of family research and she will certainly be missed . Bob
Joan was a wonderful person and friend and I will dearly miss her. She and Ellsworth were so kind and supportive when I lost my parents in March of 2002. She was the glue of the "Nelson Group". She never forgot anyone's special day and her glass was always half full, never half empty. In a nut shell, she cared about everyone.
It is always with great sadness and feelings of unpreparedness when the eventuality of life occurs....Diane and I know that Joan must have been a remarkable woman because we see in Ed the kindnesses and love that Joan brought to this world. God bless all. Verne & Diane Tuininga
