Time passes so quickly! According to Joyce, who remains a dear friend of mine, John Willie Barber was truly memorable. When she would speak about her father, she told the funniest little anecdotes about him that always had me laughing hard! I know she still misses her father and thankfully, she has many good memories of him and the part he played in her life. Rest in ancestral peace, John Willie Barber.

Well, here we are at the 5-year mark since Mr Barber's passing. Those who know the Barber Family will also know that John Willy Barber's oldest daughter passed away in late December 2021, so we will continue to pray for their souls. R.I.P Mr Barber and Brenda.

It is hard to believe that four years have passed. I believe that Mr Barber's 3 children still miss their father. It does not matter how old children get, it is always hard losing a parent. Mr Barber, based on the many stories from Joyce, was what we would call, a real character! At the same time, he was a good, decent, God-fearing man! RIP John Willie Barber.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Barber, but have known his daughter, Joyce for over 30 years. Joyce spoke so lovingly about her time growing up in Georgia with her father that I felt as if I knew him too. God was good and granted the Barbers' long life and good health. RIP John Willie Barber.

My dear friend, Joyce Missick who lives in Freeport, Grand Bahama and is Mr. Willy Barber's daughter, told me so many funny stories about her father over the past 25 years that despite not meeting him, I felt that I knew him very, very well. He has left a wonderful legacy of hard work, intergrity and love of family for his children and friends and family.
