Mr. John Willie Barber, the son of the late Mr. George and Cora Barber, was born April 3, 1920 in West Point, GA. He departed his earthly home on February 3, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. John Willie Barber accepted Christ at his Lord and savior at an early age and united with Mt. Nebo Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and clerk until failing health.

He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Nina Bell Barber in 1941.

His friendly disposition and attitude attracted all people. He was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need. John Willie Barber had a passion for repairing cars; He worked as a technician for many years. He enjoyed talking with friends and family and most of all serving God. He served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1945.

John Willie was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister, Marvin Barber, George Barber and Sarah Barber.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories; two daughters, Brenda Barber, Jonesboro, GA, and Joyce (Calvin) Missick, Freeport, BS; Willie Morris Barber, West Point, GA; two grandchildren, Antoine Perrymon, Atlanta, GA.; Marcus Dwayne Davis, West Point, GA.; three brothers, Cleve (Rosie Lee) Barber, Charlie (Synella) Barber and Pal (Lillian) Barber all West Point, GA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
