Jo and I extend our sympathy to you, Barbara, and the entire family. We have prayed for your comfort and a huge infusion of the hope that only the sure prospect of an eternity in God's presence can foster. I (Phyl) had the opportunity to work with John in denominational and seminary settings on a number of occasions. He was steadfast in his convictions and willing to wrestle over difficult issues without abandoning kindness, respect and friendship. He served the Lord as well as the NAB Conference well. Now, he gets to serve only the Lord in far more intensity than we can imagine...until we get there.
