So many memories from our many years boating. John, you are now enjoying many other loving boating buddies that have left us. We always remember the "bear hugs" they were the best.

John was a wonderful friend on C-Dock & Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club. We had wonderful times cruising the Islands, and much comraderie on our boats. Time moves on. We will meet again, John

He was a great guy to chat with, with so much to offer he will be truly missed.

Both my dad Ruben Coyle and myself knew John for a long time. He was a fine man and will be missed by all who knew and worked with him.

I fondly remember John from the ID Bureau at the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. He will be missed by many, I'll always remember the good times.

My first rememberance of "Retired" Sgt. Von Collins was he examined a positive fingerprint identification when I worked fot Lt. Marcu Grounds; very professional expert.

I worked West End Shriff Station with John. He loved his job with the sheriff's office. He used to call it the "Besnt End. God bless him and his family.

My first Patrol Sgt. at the old West End station. I have always admired VC for his way of breaking in new Deputies. (and it was his way)

As a Cape May grad with Sandra, and a friend of Jack, I commend this brave couple for facing many many problems , hurts, health problems and yet still faced them by looking forward with God and others

We remember a lovely young couple who moved next door to us from Jersey. A young man who was so upset his wife was going thru a difficult birthing that he came to us crying. God be with you all

John was one of my first sergeants at West End. He was a great guy, wonderful sense of humor, intelligent,caring and was the sergeant whose shift you hoped you were on. Bless him.

When I was a young Deputy for the SBCSD in the early 1970's, John was one of my Sergeants. He was a wonderful Sergeant, mentor, and was always good to me. I am greatly saddened by his passing. May God Bless and watch over his Family. 

the Whiteley family-I did not know John personally but through Debbie who I worked with for 8 years and her Mom who I shared Creative Memories with. My condolences to all of you.
