John (Jack) H Buie, spouse of Barbara W Buie, father of Marc W Buie married to Joan, Kenneth L Aden-Buie married to Beth and Nancy J Waldeck married to Kevin, died on July 19, 2015 at St Francis hospital in Columbus, Georgia. He was born in Gainesville, Florida and spent most of his young life living in Jacksonville Beach Florida. John attended University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida and graduated with an degree in civil engineering. John met Barbara Buie, his wife in Jacksonville Beach, Florida and they got married on his 25th birthday. For the majority of his career he worked as a professional civil engineer working with nuclear power plants. He retired in 1998. John enjoyed spending times with his family and friends. He loved fishing, fixing things and his dog Cody. He loved the beach, boating, telling stories and spending time at the Happy Ours Farm.

John is survived by by 6 grandchildren; Cheryl Buie, Lisa Buie Clark, Cayley Buie, Garrick Aden-Buie, Aubrey Aden-Buie and Britta Aden-Buie. His parents William Z Buie and Alcestia C Vrooman and his siblings Martha A Buie and Phillip E Buie all proceeded him in death.
