Ah how the years have gone by - yet we still remember so clearly and so kindly this man of God and of grace. His legacy lives on and he will always be remembered and greatly missed by all who knew him.

Forever Missed

"We give them back to Thee, dear Lord, Who gavest them to us;
Yet as Thou dost not lose them in giving,
so we have not lost them in their return.
Not as the world giveth, givest Thou, O Lover of Souls.
What Thou gavest, Thou takest not away,                                     for what is Thine is ours always if we are Thine.
And life is eternal and Love is immortal, and death is only a horizon,                   and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight."

Spoken by Dr Wesley Carr, Dean of Westminster 2002

Years have moved on
but you are still missed, as you forever will be.
God touched our lives with your love dad.

Another year has passed so I remember.
Dad would have been 88 this year. Remembering the good times at Cober Hill - & the Labyrinth walk 2010 - and the Sacred Journey.
Praise God I know Dad is with the Lord Jesus!
JESUS saves: "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)
"JOY unspeakable floods your soul and you are truly "HOME" .... but I still miss you Dad.

Another year to acknowledge your absence dad and to express my love of a father who is forever missed.
I am forever grateful to God for the blessing that He gave to us, in you.
I am thankful for your words of encouragement that you have left behind, both held in my heart and written in various letters - a real treasure and a forever legacy. Dad your words spoken and written were those of a man of Faith. They will forever be a constant reminder of a life lived in Love and an expression of Hope and Joy found in relationship with God and others.
A forever love that continues to grow and support even after these years of passing and a reminder of the True Love of the Father.
A forever grateful daughter, Helen x

Remebering my Dear Dad today (as every day) with great LOVE.
It would have been his 85th birthday today.

Another year has passed. The JOY we hold on to is in the "HOPE of Heaven". As Dad waits in Heaven for the resurrection day, the Lord remains our JOY and STRENGTH for every passing day we live here on earth. We are thankful for Dad (John) and look forward to the transforming power of the risen Jesus who will make all things new in His time.

Giving Thanks and Praise for the Creator of All things and holding on to the Great Promise of things to come! AMEN!

To think about him again is to remember Christ in Him. The Grace of God in all that John did for others is my wonderful memory of him. In all of this God was glorified in John's life. Heaven is his home now but he also lives in the hearts of those that love and remember him.

My dear Dad I still greatly miss you and love you! – I know that you are with the Lord and I am thankful to Him for all that He has done in the life I have spent with you. I am thankful every day for you and for the love you gave, which I continue to feel. I hold on to the hope that I was taught and that you held so dearly Dad:

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
 All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.

His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

Remembering you with love Dad!

God's mercies are new every morning, and every anniversary we are thankful for what God gave us and in the wonderful way John McBride Dean testified to God's goodness every time I met him. God bless your family today as they remember you with love.

July 1st 2014
Today Dad would have been 84 years old.
I miss him just as much today as when he went to be with the Lord.

I am forever changed because of you Dad. I am forever grateful for knowing you and being your daughter. I love you! Helen X

"Forever Changed"

We seem to take for granted
the important things in life.
Like loved ones, friends or family,
Maybe a husband or a wife.

We think they will always be there
no matter what we do.
But now I know that isn't so, I'm
"Forever Changed" because of you.

I no longer take for granted
the things I hold so dear,
I cherish every moment
I have my loved ones near.

We never, ever know just when
our time on earth is through.
I knew instantly that I would be
"Forever Changed" because of you.

No, my life will never be the same
as it always was before,
When you were still a part of earth
Before you knocked on Heaven's door.

And when your knock was answered
and the Angels welcomed you,
God knew right then my life would be,
"Forever Changed" because of you.

A Legacy of Faith shines from a life (John McBride Dean) whose commitment to Christ has left a Light that my eyes can see, a Path that my footsteps can follow, and a Love that my heart can embrace. It is a Legacy of Faithful Service to God, of dependency upon His Grace, and commitment to a Hope that will never fade away.

Love you and miss you Dad!
