Obituary

John Theodore Leonard, age 67, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, January 20, 2012. Born July 7, 1944, in Starr, Pennsylvania, John travelled extensively across the world through his career in the United States Navy. John retired from a successful Navy career in March 1981 after 20 dedicated years of service to his country. Being the hard worker he was, he completed another 20 years of civil service. John loved everything the outdoors had to offer. Fishing and hunting were some of his favorite activities, but what he enjoyed most was spending time with his wife Susan and their grandchildren. He received so much joy watching them grow up and being involved in all of their extracurricular activities. He was a loyal San Diego Chargers fan and enjoyed watching them win or lose on any given Sunday.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Susan, his daughter Janice Moore, his son Charles Leonard, his mother Anna Leonard of Pennsylvania, and his sister Patricia Hemerly of Pennsylvania. John is also survived by his son-in-law Percy Moore, his daughter-in-law Aimee Leonard, and his 8 grandchildren, Sadé, Jordan, Skylar, Jayden, Jason, Charlize, Ashlee, & Charles Jr.
