Joseph Benard (J.B.) Monzella III, born March 13, 1944, peacefully went to be with the Eternal Father on March 14, 2020 at the age of 76. J.B. was preceded in death by his father Joseph Benard (J.B.) Monzella II and his mother Mary Scalici Monzella. J.B. is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lynn Baker Monzella; three daughters: Monica Monzella Dodd (Aaron Conley), Melissa Monzella Price (John), and Manda Monzella Luccasen (Rusty); four grandchildren: Annie Dodd, Russell Luccasen, A.J. Luccasen, and Piper Luccasen; and sister Judy Monzella Mitchell (Tom). J.B., a real estate appraiser of 40 years, was a resident of Hoover, AL and a life-long member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. A graduate of Ensley High School and Auburn University, J.B. adored fishing, Auburn Football, giving life lessons, and above all his grandchildren. J.B. never went a day without bragging about his grandchildren and their latest accomplishments, telling anyone that would listen. J.B. and his wife Lynn spent all of their days together; where you found one, you found the other. J.B. was a firm believer in Christ, to whom he credits all of his blessings. A friend to all, J.B., never met a stranger and was able to put a smile on anyone’s face.
