Biography (Summary)

In loving memory of a Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Joy Chiedozie Allison (nee Iyitor), born on the 2nd of November, 1982 in West-End Hospital, Suru-lere, Lagos. Joy hailed from Udo Quarters, Ubulu-Uku, Aniocha South Area of Delta state. 

 

Her education started at Fountain Nursery and Primary School, Surulere, Lagos from 1984-1993, she proceeded to Federal Government Girls College, Abuloma, Port-Harcourt 1993-1999, gained admission into University of Ibadan where she achieved a B.Ed. Management/Political Science degree from 2001-2005.  She was deployed to Lagos to serve Nigeria (NYSC) in 2006 and worked as a teacher in Laureates College, Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos. During her service year, she enrolled into the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management where she was a student member. Joy later enrolled in University of Lagos and completed the MBA programme in 2011.

 

In 2007, Joy was employed by FedEx/Red Star Express where she worked until her untimely death in the course of carrying out an official assignment in Abuja. She started off in the Customer Service Unit, moved on to Human Resources Department and finally, Strategy and Training Department. Joy was a reliable and selfless worker and this accounted for a couple of promotions and upgrades she got over time.

 

Joy got married to Mr Chukwunonso David Allison, who hails from Arochukwu in Abia State on 4th of September, 2010 and together they had a baby girl, Naomi Isioma Allison, on the 27th of April 2011.

 

Joy loved spending time with family and friends, visiting and always willing to receive visitors. She loved to cook, advise and encourage people. Joy was charitable to say the least. Joy had a clean heart and this extended to her environment, was always making sure her home was without dirt.

 

This beautiful, caring and lovely woman passed away on the 3rd June 2012 in the ill-fated Dana plane that crashed in the Iju-Ishaga area of Lagos state.

 

Joy was a very dear child and was very caring towards her surviving brothers, Isitor, Azuka, Onyeka, Nonso and Udoka and indeed to every and anybody who came across her.

 

No doubt, we all will miss Joy greatly. May she continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord until we meet to part no more.
