I met Joyce through my mom. Joyce was always so kind and giving to our family, handing down Cameron's toys to our girls as he outgrew them, and even buying new toys for our girls even though she'd only met them a few times. She was always happy and her love for her grandson was apparent. He was her joy. Thank you for being a part of our lives, Joyce. We'll miss you.

The lost of such a caring, sweet person is so hard to bare. Only knowing that she now sits at God's side and that we may some day be able to join her makes things a little better. I pray God will grant this family peace durning this time and their memories will guide them.

I last saw Joyce week before last. She was watching tennis in her room at Duke. My final memory of her will be her kind graciouness to everyone.  She sincerely thanked each medical employee as they came in the room. I could see the affection they had for her. Her passing leaves a big gap in the Credit Union Family. NOT GONE, JUST GONE AHEAD.

Warm, kind, generous and loving certainly describe Joyce. To the family, may the great Comforter, the love of your family and friends and your loving memories of Joyce lift your spirits through this difficult time.

Joyce was a dear friend and I was blessed to know her and work with for many decades. She was a dear and generous person and a wonderful Grandmother to Cameron. We all will miss her and her warm and caring ways.

I remember Joyce as such a sweet and caring person having grown up with her in Wilmington. We graduated from high school and college together. We both lived in the Cary/Apex area and would run into each other at events and at the grocery store and take a few minutes to catch up on family and mutual friends. She was a lovely person. I am so sorry to read of her passing. Jacquelyn Braddy

Larry,
You and the family are in our thoughts and prayers. We will miss laughing with Joyce as she chases Cameron on his scooter down the sidewalk or sitting on our (your) porch to just enjoy the day. A True Angle has left us! Please know we are just a step away. Love, Rick & Sheila Moore

I have had the pleasure of knowing Joyce for many years as we worked together at SECU. She was a true gem and one of a kind and I will forever be privileged that I can call her my dear friend. She loved life immensely, her career, the Wolfpack, her family and especially the apple of her eye, her grandson Cameron. I will miss you greatly my friend! Peace and prayers to the family.
